i am curious to why all the big irelia players go with ArmorPen marks. i mean i do myself, but i wanted to hear other's opinions on maybe using attack speed marks (Greater Mark of Alacrity) do to its ability to combo with W very well activated or not. you will attack faster giving you health and when it is active you will do more true damage which is her main area of damage. so i just wanted to know if you have ever considered Greater Mark of Alacrity, why or why not and if you have tested them and if it was successful, thank you.

I like the build; it's pretty similar to the way I build her. Regrowth pendant to start has never quite sat well with me, I usually go sapphire crystal, rushing into Sheen, then go for the philo stone before rushing for Trinity Force, but that's a bit more aggressive early game. It does depend on what lane we're talking about, and regrowth pendant is a solid start, especially making sure you take advantage of the gold/5 for as long as possible. I will go Randuin's a fair amount of the time, most likely replacing the GA or BV, as this allows even more gold/5 with the Heart of Gold, and also, having the actives of both Randuin's AND Shurelya's gives you crazy control of teamfights, which is great for an off-tank. I agree with not maxing bladesurge early; the damage is nice, but the fact that the mana cost increases now, and given that you should be using it far more for last hitting or distance-closing, hiten style is far more useful. Good build! Upvoted +1 =)

Very nice and complete guide. Only thing I can suggest is a different mastery build. 0/9/21 seems superior on Irelia in every single way, Strenght of Spirit makes your sustain godlike, and 21 in utility for the movespeed/cooldown reductions/etc.

Well thanks for the comment. The reason I go GA is that not only gives armor and magic resist, but a great passive that can turn the tables late game, especially with Irelia's great burst. She is already great farmer so i believe a 5g/10 wont be a great affect.Of course if some players prefer that way they can choose it,the builds are not stanndart, they are mostly examples and the way i play Irelia

Rally Are you high? ... I must be high.

Wouldn't it be better to replace your GA with an Omen's? Heart of gold plus the Philosopher stone would make early game farming less of a hassle and the health from omens would go well with your atma's.

Looks nice btw~
