Introduction

Quick guide thrown together built towards what I believe are Jarvan's biggest strengths...off of quick first impressions. This is also my first(lazy) attempt at putting up a build here on Mobafire, so you can take that for what it's worth to you. Thought I'd toss this up here considering most people will want to deeps with him soon as possible. This is for the team players out there. Although Jarvan can dish out a decent amount of dps, mostly because of cc ability, he is outdone in that department by so many I feel it's a waste to ignore what he is in the top tier of imo...Initiating and utility.

Play-style

This build is intended for almost purely initiating and utility/tank play. The ability to isolate a target along with multiple cc's makes him a very dangerous addition to a single/dual target assassination combo/team. His abilities put together with a wide range of other champions abilities can have one nasty isolation/control situation for your enemy team.

Runes

Pretty straight forward for runes:

Marks: Arpen Marks for early-mid game harassing and adding to your "not so easy to ignore" aura considering no buff to damage from gear till mid-later game.

Seals: I prefer to use HP/lvl seals considering the large amount of mana regen included in this gear build. If you are having mana trouble at start-early game still, can switch out for flat mana regen.

Glyphs: I strongly recommended Flat CDR. Synergeous with build and all around good runes.

Quints: Depending on play-style and personal preference, along with whether you picked HP vs mana regen seals, Flat HP or Movement speed quints work nicely...as usual.

Masteries

Basic utility/defense mastery setup with Cripple over Meditation and Utility Mastery. Mana-regen will be a' plenty and neutral buffs should be going to your dps cohorts.

Items

CDR, HP, Mana/HP regen, Shurelya's Reverie/Sunfire for synergy, Atma's to feel better about yourself...and again, adds to "not so easy to ignore" area.

May question starting items, but give it a try with this skill/mastery/runes setup. First Faerie Charm is towards Shurelya's, second towards Soul Shroud later.

Skill Sequence

Cataclysm priority followed by Golden Aegis, Demacian Standard, and Dragon Strike.

Cataclysm+ Demacian Standard+ Golden Aegis+ Dragon Strike = Profit. Or variations of, situationally dependant. Specially if have teammates and or buddies with synergeous skill sets. Don't you dare forget about that Shurelya's active either.

Rinse, Repeat.
