Introduction

Hey - Alpha Potato here making another jungle build. This one is much more difficult to get the hang of then Malphite (My other main) But can be extremely deadly if you play her right. Poppy is one of the only characters that can take a 1v5 and can manage to come out on top. Granted, this takes a lot of practice, but when you get to that point, is one of the deadliest champions in the league.

Why Jungle Poppy?

Solo Top

Most people play Poppy as a solo top, and that is the role that has been established for her. Honestly, I play Poppy AD carry bot before I solo top with her. Why? Because Poppy in my opinion has a lot of problems playing top. Maybe I just suck with her solo top, but I find getting last hits on creep extremely difficult to do unless you control the lane and intimidate your opponent very early. Some people are very good at last hitting with Poppy, but I just can't do it very well.

Most champions taking solo top will have a "poke" in one way or another. Mundo's cleaver, Yi's Alpha Strike, Kayle's Righteous Fury, ect. Some don't have ranged pokes, but most do. Poppy doesn't. In order you mess with your opponent you need run up to them and fight them, or charge them and run. Again, against certain champions running in and attacking them is perfectly fine, but the majority or the time your opponent will run when you get close, hit you with ranged, and you'll be harassed.

The final big problem when I try to solo top is that landing your becomes difficult. Players (especially high level) will know to not stand near walls if your fighting Poppy, its much harder to position yourself from a gank from bush.

AD Carry (Bottom Lane)

The other option is an AD Carry bot. I'm not gonna lie, Poppy is a very good bot laner with certain team mates. Specifically . I could probably write a seperate build about laning with a Blitz. I do just as well as jungle if not better when I lane bottom, however, this is a premade strategy and an entirely different gameplay. If you are with randoms, pick Poppy, and call bot, you will be frowned upon. The stereotype is a ranged ad carry bot, with a support. I don't agree completely, but I just leave it alone when i'm not premade.

Jungle

The solution? Jungle. Jungle Poppy can get creep no problem, gank better than most jungles with , and is incredibly overpowered late game. Just focus on keeping up in levels and items early, and you'll be a force to be reckoned with before they know it.
