To be honest, when I tried this build, I rushed catalyst... But then, I always treat item order as something flexible. ^_^;

ok, i understand where your coming from, and i respect it. No harm taken by the way. I enjoy my build and it works for me, so i think i will keep it the way it is, but i appreciate your criticism.

yes, i use netherblade and i did use this build...actually netherblade is one of the main points i included in my own build but the thing is you have only base mana regen untill you get netherblade and you only have the base mana pool of 260 or so untill you get even further into the game. if you take into account how expensive nullsphere is and your limited mana pool you will see its only enough for a few casts of null sphere.

You should try getting the will of the ancients later on after u've obtained mana regeneration/larger mana pool. just my 2 cents coming from a very avid kassadin player. No harm intended.

have you tried out this build? Have you looked at his Nether blade skill? If you cannot stay in a lane with a champion because of mana issues, while the champion has a skill that restores his mana on hit, then you need more practice with the champion. Skillful use of kassadins abilities is all that is required for using this build successfully, and if you look at my match history posted on this build, it proves that it works. Now this build may not be your playing style because you may require mana early game to stay in the lane, i however do not because i manage my mana very well, no offense to you, thats just one of my strong suits as kassadin. You are entitled to your opinion as i am to mine, but all im saying is that this build DOES work, if you play kassadin in a way that allows it to.

i beg to differ, seeing that i stay in the lane everytime, you just have to be a good player. Thank you for your input.

No lane sustainability because of no mana regen and 1 health pot = you can't stay in lane at all with this build

tank you both for your votes, and rainbow dash, i can see what you mean, and of course there are items that can be replaced in certain situations, so i suppose i should add a situational item section.

I like this build for Kassadin. Only thing I'd change is shoehorning armor in somewhere, assuming there's a threat from enemy DPS, but then I always squee for armor. ^-^ Perhaps a frozen heart in place of Will of the Ancients in a game where enemy phsical damage is a huge threat, as an alternative?

That said, worked for me as-is when I tried it, so only positing it as an alternative.
