Hello, My name is MacheteTM and this is my first MOBAfire guide!
I'm from Holland so please forgive if I make any mistakes in my grammar or such. I've decided to make a guide for Katarina, mainly because:

- She is very underrated, everybody underestimate her.
- I see a lot of people play her, in my eyes, wrong.
- I've been playing Katarina for a long time, experimenting with builds and I thought I'd make my own!

*Please note that this is my first guide. I'd love to hear some feedback, and perhaps some tips and tricks ;).

So here are my Pros and Cons, in my humble opinion:

Pros:

- Awesome mid/late game dmg output
- Escape artist 1st class
- Epic Assassin
- Very important ult, especially in teamfights

Cons:

- Not a lot of dmg early game
- You're the target, get used to it!
- You're really squishy early.

Offense

Since Katarina is mainly an offensive champ, the offense tree masteries make this a lot easier, of course. When you're playing as Katarina, your main objective is to wipe out the enemy team, get fed, and deal tons of damage. Of course, this is harder than it sounds. You can either be an a*shole, and killsteal everything with your Shunpo (which makes it really easy with this build ;P), or you can be the teamplayer you are meant to be and try to deal as much damage as possible in a short time.
Both of these things are possible with these masteries. Why? Because all of your abilities rest on magic damage, so ability power and magic penetration is REALLY important on Katarina.

Voracity

This is , in my humble opinion, one of the best passives in the game. A lot of people underestimate it so fast, and that's exactly what you want. This creates the CD Reduction and extra 25 Gold for each kill OR assist. With this, if played well, you literally ult 3 times in 10 seconds, AKA: OP

Bouncing Blade 1st

A lot of people asked me; Why should I max Bouncing Blade 1st, why not Shunpo?! Well, this is my answer: Because it f*cking owns.
When you're mid, the chance that you get outranged by your opponent is around the 99% And with this ability you can decrease this difference of distance. Better said, if you mix this ability good enough with your Killer Instincts, can can do TONS of DAMAGE at INCREDIBLE RANGE!!

Killer Instincts

This ability is made for true perfection. If you want your gank, invade, or simple harrass to give it that little extra, you should use this ability at all times. If mixed with your Bouncing Blade, you will deal 100% damage to all targets. And if you mix this with Shunpo, you will that a percentage less damage from enemies. I personally prefer, when harrassing, to mix this with Bouncing Blade, so you can harrass from great distances. But when you're engaging and planning on popping that ult, you should mix this with Shunpo. Mainly because when people see you doing your spin a' roo, they want you dead a split-second, and with this you'll make it hard on them.

Shunpo

This ability finishes you as a true Assassin. Not only can blink from your position to the enemy's in a split-second, you can also use it to escape your enemies, if needed. What is of course really handy of this skill is that you can use to blink next to your target, and pop that ult.

Death Lotus

This is your assassin's trademark, your ultimate weapon, you tool of destruction, your Crême de la Sândieur, whatever that may mean. Provided with an Epic oriental name, taught to you by Bruce Lee himself, this is what makes you a true danger to the enemy. Combined with CC from the other teammates, is this your most lethal weapon, which actually is from most champs.
