I have a problem, i cant determine when to go ap or ad?

Well it really just boils down to preference honestly. I love both so I just decide on which build I take depending on my team comp. 3 AD’s? I’ll go AP, and vice versa.

Can i use the dark harvest/electrocute rune with ad katarina? ty for the guide and one more question. Wich server are u?

You could use those builds although I wouldn’t really recommend it. Conquerer just synergizes too well with her AD build since it gives you damage that ramps up plus a bit of healing. Conq also gives you really high kill pressure in lane compared to elec so that’s that.

I travel a lot so I switch servers quite a bit. I usually use NA, OCE, Garena and less frequently, EUW.

Definitely a much safer bet to start Doran's Shield in every single build, thought that was worth mentioning.

That’s true. Although personally, i’m a really aggressive player. I usually win lane with level 3 all ins and snowball off of that lead. I guess this only works if you’re really confident with your matchups though.

I admit my mistake for nashor's, but thats why preseason exist, good guide overall, he was faster to test builds and see what works and what not, still lich bane is a core item for Katarina with the proc being on R E and passive to all daggers

Would you mind telling me why Nashor's isn't good on Katarina? Also i'm aware that Guinsoo's doesn't proc on Kraken Slayer. We build Guinsoo's to make use of the wasted crit from kraken slayer and potentially collector, if you choose to build it. Not to mention it also procs on Bork and Titanic.

First of all, I've stated multiple times that going bork into the riftmaker build is a solid option. In fact I do it all the time. Second, you don't seem to get the point of this build. Nashors has more constant DPS than Lich Bane, not to mention the fact that Lich only procs on ONE person every 2.5 seconds. We take nashors here since it deals the most consistent damage (which amps up with the 15% damage increase of Riftmaker), and Lich is only good for bursting. And tell me, don't you build Death Cap within AP builds?

Nashor’s has more raw damage than Death Cap. And you’re wrong, Lich Bane only procs once on the nearest person hit by the dagger.

I’ve clearly proven you wrong on every single one of your points. And i’d rather you don’t comment about false/wrong statements about certain items. They can be very misleading for people who’d actually want to learn about the current preseason builds.

Your so called “facts” were all refuted, and that “chatting” doesn’t have any context whatsoever. Plus your so called “guide” is practically just a mirror of this one. I’ve already explained Lich and Nashor’s and as much as i’d love to explain how inefficient Luden’s is on Kat, I won’t bother. It’ll all fall on deaf ears anyway. Now i’d like to ask you to to stop, and if you have any more problems just DM me.

Nashors is pretty good on Katarina with the extra 100 AP and that on-hit damage. That's why it is core after BoTRK for me, in late game after full build, my Nashors did around 4k, while my BoTRK did 5k. That's alot of damage.

For Guinsoo's, you get it to convert the crit chance of it to on-hit, so it applies on dagger, E and R as well. He builds Collector as last item as well, so he does 120 bonus physical damage on-hit. Lich Bane does very little damage in comparison to Nashors due to its 2.5 second cooldown which is extremely high during a rotation, and you're bound to get more damage off Nashor's instead of Lich Bane due to its 100 AP and on-hit on every dagger, E and R.

Lich Bane also only does damage to the target you shunpo to, like what Kuro_Shiro said. I tested it out a minute ago on Practice Tool. I won't comment anything on how well Luden's work with Kat as I have not tried it yet, but going Mythic (NH or Riftmaker) first item does not deal as much damage as rushing BoTRK or otherwise Nashor's.
