Hey guys, this shall be my second build! I decided to make a Katarina build guide for new/newish players because I recently got a score of 30/4/12] with this build and these moves! So, if you wanna really mess people up ending with a GG and your team winning, this is the place to be!

These are your core items for, I feel, any Katarina. You want to get the Mejai's After your Rabadons so that your damage from the Rabadons can be used to get you as many kills = Stacks in your Mejai.

The Hextech Gunblade gives you the attack damage and spell vamp for your Bouncing Blades and your Death Lotus. Rylai's Crystal Scepter is also a main item which is basically for the extra health boost and the "slow for each spell" ability.

= helps you get out quicker than just waiting for your shunpo to regen.
= my main spell, helps you get the last hit (kill) and great for just an "ignite---gtfo" situation.

Exhaust

These Runes can be used for many different players like Twisted Fate (AP) or Teemo (AP) but I took armor pen. for abilities like your Bouncing Blades and Death Lotus and the Magic Pen. for all over damage.

At first, when I started off with Kat, I chose to get me in and out of fights very quickly and sometimes even score first blood. Now I start off with the to maximize harassment and get my opponents low enough to ->>>>> ->>>> Finish them off! You develop your and early game, throwing in a point here and there so that your ability power and harassment is really good!

What you want to do with Kat is not involve yourself completely physically in any team fight and you most definitely don't want to dive in without any backup. The only reason you would dive into a fight with Katarina is to Shunpo and then Death Lotus, finishing off or damaging at at least 3 players (late game). Be careful of enemies with a stun or disable who can easily block off your Death Lotus. For example- Xin Zhao's Three Talon Strike can disable you; Sion's Stun can disable you; Alistar's ground smash can disable you; Cho Gath's spikes can disable you etc...
As said earlier, during early game, stay in the back and harass with the Bouncing Blades. When you reach level 6 and have your Death Lotus, you want to harass and finally Shunpo in and Death Lotus. Don't do this unless your enemy is down a bunch of health so that if you don't kill them with the two abilities as said above, you can still use your Bouncing Blades or Shunpo with an Ignite to definitely finish them off. You want to activate your Killer instincts before Shunpo-ing into a massive team fight. Trust me, it helps a lot!
