I say, it's not really the real explanation of why we are not allowed to participate tournaments, but we really are denied (Loto-Québec's Matter). Anyway, all this "bla bla" to tell that this build is maybe... nah, this build is really the best you'll ever try when you'll play her.

WARNING : This build is only valuable on experienced players. Those who can think about enemy's true power (the combination of Attack Dmg + Ability Power + CC's + Enemy's reactions - movements) VS your teamates true power (the combination of Attack Dmg + Ability Power + CC's + Teamates movements - actions)


-As you probably alrdy seen, i'm a french Canadian. It means that my english will probably be less enriched than someone else. But things i want to say, will be said with my best write.

-In this build - guide, i don't want to show every math calcul, any explanation of best items to use and why this combo, when to use this spell or this spell, etc. All i want to speak about in this build, is Katarina true power. I'll explain what it has to be explained. Else, "wRAthoFVuLK" did it very well with his guide named : "Your AP Katarina Du Couteau Resource (Don't play with knives)"

Runes Marks : Like every mage, Magic pen is a must. (+8,55 magic pen)

Runes Seals : You will probably say : "wtf HP regen and cooldown reduce?" hehe i was saying the same thing just before i try it in a real game. It give's you 2,2 HP regen/5 and -1,18% cooldown reduce. It's rly not much but when i play, it give's results. Plus, the mastery "Vigor" that gives +3 HP regen/5, it's a good small HP regen.

Runes Glyphs : Full of cooldown reduce at lvl 18... for more spamming :D (+8,62% cooldown reduce)

Runes Quintessences : Got 2 quint of magic penetration (+3,78 magic pen) and one of flat HP (+26 Health). You say, why that flat HP? It's only cuz when i saw +12 magic pen overall, a +1,89 magic pen does not worth a +26 flat HP.

Masteries : I have probably already answered your only question.. i mean that "Vigor" mastery. Doran's shield 8 HP regen + 5,2 HP regen means a + 13,2 HP renen/5. Regrowth pendant is +15 HP regen/5 :)

Ghost

Ghost is very versatile with Katarina. I just can't tell every things, every moments, every situations that ghost is one of the best spell to use with her.

-Ghost when you need the little range to shunpo on the target
-Ghost to do tower ganks more properly (just for that reason, it should be your choice now)
-Ghost to run away from ganks (+ shunpo... hahahahaha it's OP!)
-Ghost to reach faster team fights (it rly helps, cuz when the fight is finished or soon to be, they (enemys) are normally LOW in HP and they have already used MOST or ALL of their spells. It mean CC's too!)

Flash

hehehehehehehe it's flash... a short range instant teleport, maybe half the range of shunpo. But anyway, it's flash xD you take it that's it that's all.

-Flash to do tower ganks even more properly than only with ghost
-Flash to iniciate a gank, to reach with your shunpo the target
-Flash to iniciate and to startle the enemy. I mean that his low on HP, but he stays there, unreachable by your shunpo. It improve the range of your shunpo. (what can be better than this spell?)
-Flash to run away from ganks
-And... Flash to Flash olol

--IF you builded Rabadon's Deathcap first, you build Abyssal right after. The selection of item is only made with the Enemy's different champions pick.

The only thing i have to speak about Katarina is her fast paced gameplay. These word said, she's a spammable champion, that got no mana pool, only cooldowns. Her passive is each time you do a kill or an assist, you get +25g and her cooldowns are reduced by 15 seconds. So each time you kill someone, all your spells are up to go for an other kill and after 3 consecutive kills, your ultimate (45 seconds cooldown) is up again to do that beautiful pentakill. But you can do that rampage only if you fast enough to jump on each target as it has to be and to think about the WARNING i told upper in "Things that have to be settled about this guide".

Else, you will lose that small second to reach that teemo right after doing the first kill. You have to tell you : "If i Shunpo, knife right now, i will kill him". You must know your average dmg to think like this and to be ready to jump on the next target right after.
If you had shunpo, knife and used your ultimate at the same time in a fight, and if you already killed someone when doing your ultimate, dont stop it right now, wait till Death Lotus can't reach anyone and shunpo on the target that would die faster. The rest is up to you.

With Katarina, Time is Money and "Violence solve's everything". So dont be affraid to be aggressive but always keep in mind enemy's true power and your true power.

Katarina is not really hard to play, but she's hard to master like a boss. Her secret is to be able to ultimate properly without any interruption. Shunpo is to position yourself properly and the knife is to harass properly. If your ultimate is interrupted, you in the deep **** because you are not able to do your full dmg. So, less dmg on targets and, even more bad, you probably did shunpo right before your ultimate. Don't have to tell what will happen after eh? xD

I'm sorry if my mistakes made your reading a hard job :) i know that i miss experience in english but anyway, i wish that you were able to understand what i've wanted to say during this Guide.
