Welcome! This is my first mobafire guide or any guide at all. If you are one of those people who just wants to see the build I just have one thing to tell you: Use your "Q" then "E" then "W" and then "R" if you wish. OK, now that thats over, Katarina is one of the best assassins on League of Legends because of her great ability to farm, deal damage in a number of seconds, and take out multiple champions at once. Once again in case you didn't get it from the title this guide is a guide for. This is a short "refresher" guide.

PROS Extremely high damage output Can carry team with a little help NO MANA :) Great in team fights Hot Able to deal with her squishiness

CONS Squishy Slow early game Extremely vulnerable to Crowd Control(stuns,taunts,fears,etc.) Relatively long cooldowns

These runes are your average Ap build. The only difference is that you might not have any MR(Mana Regen) or mana at all.

These items are your core and what will help you penetrate their defenses and dominate them overall. Fiendish Codex is a perfect start because it is the most expensive thing you can buy and it gives you cooldown reduction( which lets all be honest you can spam because of the no cost)and Ability Power which Katarina feeds off of. Blasting Wand is just one of those AP items that you build into things and get extra AP. Amplifying Tome again another item that doesn't need to much explaining. Void Staff is great for the noobs who are tired of your triples(you might not have TOO much because its fairly early game) and build Magic Resist. Blackfire Torch is built from the fiendish codex that you started off with and the blasting wand you build right before getting it. Rylai's Crystal Scepter is great for everyone running away because you are now officially fed. Add in the Liandry's Torment just for the overkill :D

Pretty basic skills. Take your Bouncing Blades for poke and to help farm. Next take your Sinister Steel for for dmg output and farm. Once you reach level 3 and get your Shunpo you can officially fight ok. By the time you get to level 6, people will be running from you. Use your "Q" then "E" then "W" and optionally "R" to dominate fights and get the triple. However cc such as knock-ups, stuns, fears, and taunts are your biggest enemy. If possible wait for them to use it BEFORE using your ult so they dont interupt you ultimate and ultimately kill you.

Flash and Ignite are your best choices but if you feel like flash isn't doing it for you, Ghost is a viable choice. If under the turret, you can quickly "E" then "W" then ignite and escape before the turret kills you!
