Introduction

For some reason, Kennen is thought as an weak champion, as far as I've heard from other people.
But to be honest, that is NOT true AT ALL. Kennen is actually quite powerful with right build, and this build works, atleast for me.

Runes

As far as I've thought, Cooldown is crucial for Kennen. Thus I have chosen Cooldown runes. This, of course, is not necessary, as you can choose other runes, or if you don't have these runes.

Masteries

For masteries I did 9/2/19 for Kennen, since Utility gives him even MORE Cooldown, which, in my opinion, is as I said crucial. Also the reduced cooldown of Flash is useful, a little bit of extra gold doesnt hurt, reduced being-dead time and of course, the prolonged buffs from neutral monsters. Preservation, on the other hand, gives 400 health bonus when using Revive, which really is needed for Kennen.

Items

I ALWAYS get Hextech Gunblade first. It's active does nice damage, slows enemies, allowing you to kill them easier, or to run away. It also gives Life Steal and Spell Vamp, which help ALOT later ingame.

Second I get Ionian Boots of Lucidity, which have reduced cooldown.

Third I get Rabadon's Deathcap for more Ability power and the +30% Ability power.

As for Will of the Ancients, I took it because of its passive aura. As it gives a total of 80 AP and 25% Spell Vamp to me, it also gives 30 AP and 25% Spell vamp to nearby allied champions, which might just give the edge needed to win team fights.

Fifth I took Lich Bane, which gives +100% Ability power to normal attack after using an ability. this really can hit alot, especialy with over 600 ability power. Oh, and It also gives Ability Power too!.

And last, but surely not least I took Rylai's Crystal Scepter, because of its slowing effect, and a little extra HP too. But Abyssal Scepter is good aswell because of its Magic resistance and its Aura, which reduces enemies Magic resistance by 20, but I prefer Rylai's over Abyssal most of the time.

Skill Sequence

As far as I've thought, the first spell to fight on a lane against another champion, is Thundering Shuriken, as it can deal nice amount of damage and leaves Mark of Storm . As for Lightning Rush, I usualy use it to visit the enemies minions and run back, which also hits nicely and leaves Mark of storm to every enemy it hits, which is good since you can just use Electrical Surge to finish it. This tactic is great for farming minions at lower level and to kill loads of them within a few seconds at higher level. Get Slicing Maelstorm at level 6, since you can use it against champions that try to attack you. Slicing Maelstorm also stuns enemies, which can be VERY useful at lower level near a friendly turret, since turret can attack the enemy champion.

Summoner Spells

As for the spells, I chose Flash to get away from enemies, or even better, teleport near or in middle of them! This allows you to use Kennen's Ulti to the maxium potential, since enemies dont have the chance to run away. But be careful! you never know if you get killed before that,so be sure to survive, survive rather than die, right?

I chose Revive because it becomes really useful when people are level 15 and over. It also gives 400 Extra Health, because of the Preservation on Defense. Also thanks to the Cooldown reduction, you can make full use of the speed buff that revive gives. Just use Lightning rush Twice in a row and you will be near middle of the map in just a few seconds!

Summary

So, to all of you who like to play Kennen, this is a build I use and suggest. Also to those who think Kennen is weak? You wish! He is, infact really strong in the right hands and with the right items.
