Introduction

Hello everyone, and welcome to my AD Carry Kog'Maw guide.

In this guide I will be explaining how I like to play Kog. I usually get high scores, but that partially depends on the support I get.

Kog is pretty dependant on supports, as he is prone to ganks, and will need a support that has knowledge of warding, and has some CC.

Items

I start off pretty basic, Boots + 3 Health Potions.
On your first time b you should be able to get 1 (or multiple, if youre having a bad early game) Dorans blade, and a Cloak of Agility. If you buy multiple Dorans Blades, you will probably not be able to buy the cloak, but its better to have extra health and life-steal instead of crit chance if youre having a hard time in your lane.

On the second time b you should be able to get a Zeal.
a zeal is a great item for KogMaw, as it has Movement Speed, Attack Speed (Which is great with your W) and some Crit Chance.

After you finish your Phantom Dancer, you can start being agressive and start to poke your opponent. usually youll get a crit or two in an exchange, which will either force the enemy to go b, or atleast have him at low hp to finish him off later.

By the time you have finished your Infinity Edge a tower in your lane will be down, and you will be walking to other lanes to help out, and possibly pick up a kill or two.

With your Infinity Edge and the Phantom Dancer you will have:

~1.6 Attack Speed
55% Crit Chance
around 500 damage/crit (!)

The second Phantom Dancer will cause some questions.
Why another Dancer this early? Why not a bloodthirster?

Well, a Phantom Dancer give moar crit chance, bringing you to 85%.
Some people prefer the Lifesteal, but I prefer the crit chance, because you will destroy almost anyone in a 1v1 without needing the extra lifesteal, the 10% from your vamp scepter is enough.

Now that you have finished the Phantom Dancer, its time to finish your Bloodthirster.
This gives you even More damage with your crits, and also gives you more survivability in fights.

And there comes the final item, the Guardian Angel.
The enemy team should have noticed you being an unstoppable rapetrain by now, and will start focusing you.

No problem! You have a second life!
By the time you needed your Guardian, you will have probably killed the enemy Carry, and will be invulnerable for a few seconds, giving the enemy team the decision to either wait till you have revived, or focus someone else.

If they wait, your team has time to kill, and if they dont, you will revive and keep raping.

Laning Partners

Now that you know the build, its time to talk about Laning Partners.

I myself have found these champions the best to lane with

1. AP AMUMU. -Boss. He has a long-range stun with quite some damage, if building AP. the mummy also has an AoE Snare, giving you time to vomit over the enemies while theyre covered in ****ping paper.

2. Janna. Overall an amazing support, with a knockback and a knockup.
The shield also gives bonus AD, which is always good. no such thing as too much AD

3. Taric.. Has a heal, a stun and an ult that increases your stats.

Pros / Cons

Pros
- Incredibly high damage early and mid game
- A high-range ult
- great chaser with his E
- Good duelist with the armor reduction on his Q

Cons
- Prone to ganks
- Squishy before the Bloodthirster and Guardian angel

Summoner Spells

Preferred

Flash Great spell to get out of a teamfight if youre being focused, or to get just in range for that ult to finish off an enemy.

Heal Amazing to bait out towerdives, heal, and get a kill or two. Also good spell to 1v1

Possible

Ghost Good alternative to Flash, with a lower cooldown and a speed burst instead of a blink.

Ignite To finish off that runner. not really needed with the amazing range on your ult

Exhause Good to reduce damage in a 1v1, or slow down a runner. again, you have heal for 1v1 and a an ult to finish off runners.

Dont use

Clairvoyance You aint no support!

Revive Guardian Angel is enough

Surge Stupid mortal stuff. nothing for a god like KogMaw
