Introduction

So who is LeBlanc? LeBlanc,in my opinion, is one of the most fun AP mids, as well as being on the best to counter mages. She has a silence, slow, and snare. She is bursty mage best played dishing out her damage and then retreating behind her team for a few seconds until all of her moves get off cooldown.

Runes

I picked my runes primarily for their great magic penetration. After building haunting guise, you have just over 48 magic penetration. This is usually enough to cut through the defences of two or three of the other teams players, allowing you to deal maximum damage. I picked the magic resist seals because they offer about 6 more magic resist at the beginning of the game. This is great because it reduces the incoming damage by about 4%, meaning if you play against an evenly matched AP mid, you will end up taking slightly less damage, every encounter. The AP mid glyphs and quintessences are just to increase damage.

Masteries

The 21 points in the offence mastery I consider to be unchangeable. They offer significant bonuses which help you greatly throughout the game. The other 9 points can be allocated at your discretion. If you have a jungler willing to give you the blue buff early game then you may not need the mana masteries and choose to go for defence.

Items

The reason I don't start with a Doran's ring is because it usually gets sold, and you lose over 200 gold from doing that. While the myriad of stats are nice, they are weak and don't have much of an impact by mid game. Please see the special section on Mejai's Soulstealer as it is not an item to get every game. The Sorcerer's shoes are a must as it gives you a 14% damage increase against a target that doesn't enhance its magic resist. Rabadon's Deathcap works great with everything, one of the best passives for mages. It even increases the AP gained from the potion. In terms of items to get after the aforementioned, it is situational. If Veigar keeps managing to ult you, get a Banshee's Veil. If you are 10/0, get some more AP, either Void Staff or Abyssal Scepter if they have lots of MR, or an Archangel's Staff if that jungler won't give you the blue buff and you have mana problems. Will of the Ancients, Morello's Evil Tome, both are good options. You can also get some armor if that Xin Zhao keeps getting to you.

Mejai's

This item is for more advanced LeBlanc players. Only get this if their mid sucks and is feeding, or if you have a few kills and feel like you will be getting more. If you get this and you are 0/3, it is probably going to be a waste of money and source of ridicule for the other team. You have to make the decision and decide if you think you can quickly amass 6 or 7 stacks.

Laning Enemies

After every game if I lane against someone unique I will try to add them here.

Galio: This guy sucks. He usually gets MR and AP early game making him hard to damage, as well as making himself adept at damaging. Put all effort into avoiding resolute smite and possibly rush your boots instead of Mejai's.

LeBlanc: When laning against another LeBlanc your success is vital on a few things. This first is runes or masteries. If you have a full rune page and the other LeBlanc doesn'tn you do more damage, so chances are you will de better in lane. The next is last hitting. Lets say both of you recall at the same time and you have 10 more CS (creep score). Maybe you can buy a blasting wand, and they can only get an amplifying tome. ALl of a sudden you have 20 more AP. The last, is getting off your combo. If you silence the other LeBlanc first, you can waltz away happy knowing a chunk of their health is gone and the only thing they can do is a pathetic auto-attack. BE WARNED! If you lane against LeBlanc and use all your abilities, stay cautious until your abilities are off cooldown, at least your Q.

Distortion

This move (W) is so much fun. My advice is unless you know where are of the enemies are, don't use this as part of your combo. There are billions of exceptions and as you get more advanced you will feel comfortable diving in with W, using a Q/R combo and then backing away until you have your W again to escape. It is basically a 20 sec CD flash. I advise using it cautiously until you feel comfortable with LeBlanc and have good map awareness.
