Introduction

Hello,

when I bought Lee Sin, I didn't know how to play him right. As a full DPS? Tanky DPS? Full tank?
And my masteries were like: whatever, I'm taking masteries just to have some!

After many tries and many fails and losses, a friend of mine told me to use 0-21-9 Masteries, another one said, that he's always rushing Frozen Mallet first.

I combined it, at this is the outcome, a very strong Lee Sin, early on, in mid game, and still useful in endgame.

Skills

(Passive): After Lee Sin uses an ability, for 3 seconds, his next 2 basic attacks gain 50% attack speed and return 15 energy each.

How to use this passive is explaned in the Tipps and Tricks section. (Other Tipps and Tricks, 6.)

(Active): Lee Sin projects a discordant wave of sound to reveal his enemies for 3 seconds, dealing physical damage to the first enemy it encounters. If Sonic Wave hits, Lee Sin can cast Resonating Strike for the next 3 seconds.
Cost: 50 energy
Range: 975

Cooldown: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 seconds
Physical Damage: 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+1.0 per bonus attack damage)
(Active): Lee Sin dashes to the enemy hit by Sonic Wave, dealing flat damage plus 10% of their missing health as physical damage.
Cost: 30 energy

Physical Damage: 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+1.0 per bonus attack damage)

This is your initator and harrasser.

(Active): Lee Sin rushes towards a target ally, shielding them both from damage for the next 5 seconds. After using Safeguard, Lee Sin can cast Iron Will for the next 3 seconds.
Cost: 50 energy
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Range: 750

Shield Strength: 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+0.8 per ability power)
(Active): Lee Sin's intense training allows him to thrive in battle. For 5 seconds, Lee Sin gains lifesteal, spell vamp, and armor.
Cost: 30 energy

Spell Vamp & Lifesteal Bonus: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 %
Armor Bonus: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30.

Saving friends, and additional lifeleech.. you skill this up to lvl 3 so that it works well with only the Vampiric Scepter.

(Active): Lee Sin smashes the ground sending out a shockwave that deals magic damage and reveals enemy units hit for 4 seconds. If Tempest hits an enemy, Lee Sin can cast Cripple for the next 3 seconds.
Cost: 50 energy
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Radius of AoE: 450

Magic Damage: 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+1.0 per bonus attack damage)
(Active): Lee Sin cripples nearby enemies revealed by Tempest, reducing their movement and attack speed for 4 seconds. Movement and attack speed recover gradually over the duration.
Cost: 30 energy
Radius of AoE:

Slow: 30 / 37.5 / 45 / 52.5 / 60 %

Your native movementspeed slow, and atkspeed slow. Good for last hitting aswell.. use it whenever you want.

(Active): Lee Sin performs a powerful roundhouse kick launching his target back, dealing physical damage to the target and any enemies they collide with. Enemies the target collides with are knocked into the air for a short duration.
No cost
Range: 375
Knockback distance: 1,200 (estimate).

Cooldown: 90 / 75 / 60 seconds
Physical Damage: 200 / 400 / 600 (+2.0 per bonus attack damage)

Scales very well with your AD, people tend to fail this... just try it a bit and master it as fast as you can. This can be a lifesaver or a ultrakiller!

Runes

For Runes I take:

Red: ArPen x9

Yellow: Armor p. lvl. x9

Blute: Mres p. lvl x9

Quintessences: ArPen flat x3

With this Runebuild you're super tanky and deal terrible, terrible damage (xD).

Masteries

As I already said, a friend of mine told me to use 0-21-9. And it just helped.
You gain a lot of tankynes, additional lifereg, and I never felt like needing the offensive tree.

You can use your usual 21-0-9 or 21-9-0 mastery tree, it's all up on you.

Items - Skill Sequence

In my build you rush Mercury and Frozen Mallet.
It makes you super tanky and you still deal enough dmg.

The Vampiric Scepter doesn't need an early upgrade. It saves a little bit money.
But why? Obviously, because I skill W up to lvl 3 early on. W on lvl 3 + Vampiric Scepter gains you enough lifeleech to call it lifeleech.

Sheen will upgrade your damage once again. Lee Sin is one of these ''Trinity-Offtank''s.
So your main damage comes from Trinity Force.

Then finally time to upgrade your Vampiric Scepter to a Bilgerwater Cutlass, now your lifeleech is real lifeleech and you can truly feel it. Ah and an additional slow is provided, too. Perfect, since your native slow may be on CD or needs too much energy.

Sheen uprage to Trinity. Yep. That may takes a while, Phage and Zeal are needed, I'd prefer Zeal at this moment, because you already have Frozen Mallet. The Trinity Force will boost your HP even further, and next is:

Atmas! Now your damage is pure win. Additional armor, critical chance and damage. With Frozen Mallet slow, E-slow and Bilgewater Cutlass-slow, enemy champions may feel like they are rooted :D

But Bilgewater Cutlass' slow range is too short!
WOOT!? It is? Then upgrade it. NOW! Better?
YES!
Good!

Now. There is only 1 slot left for an item. I'd take a Guardian Angel, since it provides armor, mres, and a 2nd life. If the enemy team has to many casters, and you feel like ''wtf boom''ed, Banshee's Veil will be an option, too.

Otherwise, I'd take Thornmail vor heavy ad teams, or Sunfire, for well balanced teams, or underfarmed enemy teams. Cus this items gives you armor and healt(=ad). More damage in total.

Summoner Spells - Tipps and Tricks

I think Flash/Exthaust is a must for Lee Sin.

Some examples:

1. Q in, Flash behind enemy, R him back, Exthaust, Hextech Gunblade, E-Slow.

2. Enemy approaching your from behind.
Q to enemy, Flash behind enemy, R him back, W to next save minion/ward/champ.

3. R on CD, chasing enemy?
Flash towards enemy, Q in, E/Hextech Gunblade + Exthaust.

4. Earlygame. Enemy is hugging tower while beeing very low. You're greedy.
Flash behind enemy minion wave, Q your enemy, if needed E and then W to the next best position

5. Earlygame ganking
Hide in brush, flash out, Q in, E-slow, kill.

6. Teamfight
Q in, flash behind them, R carry or support trought their whole team to yours.
--->Damage to all enemys. And their important carry/support is in the middle of the fight :D!

Other Tricks and Tipps:

1. Q-W Harrasing- Earlygame
Q on your enemy, and W back to the next minion/champ. This harrasstechnique can be used under the enemy tower aswell ;)

2. Use E, but don't use the 2nd E effect. Yep, wait until the enemy attempts to run away, then us the 2nd E-effect for the slow. BAM!

3. Trolling enemys with Q
You're using the Q-W combo? Your enemy is aware of that, then just use Q and dont use the 2nd effect. Just use it as a skillshot. Then pretend to do your Q-W combo by runnin towards them.

4. Ulti, please don't try to ks/lasthit with it. Often you rate the damage too high and your enemy just get saved thanks to you. Early on you can use it to towerdive a low hp champ: look at tipp 4 of ''why flash''. Instead of E you use your ultimate, or both.

5. Never engage/initiate. Yep your tanky, but thats all. You aren't the tank. You just can life a bit longer. So don't initiate fights.

6. Use your passive. If you're in an 1on1 situation, then use
Q,
2 auto attacks,
Q again,
2 auto attacks.
W,
2 auto attacks,
W again,
2 auto attacks
E,
2 auto attacks,
E again,
2 auto attacks.

This Combo is also important for Sheen / Trinity Force
