Just a suggestion make Iona Boots a possible boot option. 15% cooldown reduction lets you get more saplings and roots out there. And with the rest of the build puts you very close to cap.

I like your build, though I feel like I should point out that Perseverence as a mastery is, especially in a build that ends up at a total of 4 HP/5 and 18 MP/5, a total waste of points. Even if you would have 100 MP/5 which is actually pretty much impossible you still spend 3 entire mastery points on 4 extra MP/5.

I have yet to try this build exactly out but my maokai usually ends up the same.I never really thought of a
meki pendandt on most early mana hungry champs as i forgot that it can actually be built into the fiendish codex and then eventually morellos evil tome which is a better alternative then dorans ring. So thank you for showing me that +1 :)

Good build delivers as advertised.

Love the build, consider taking Saporling toss again at level 3, not 4, as that's really all you want to be doing early on.
