This build works best with a stable AD Carry who doesn't need huge amounts of protection from a support. It also requires that someone else on your team becomes tanky as Shaco will not fill that role. Leaving boxes in the bushes provides vision and putting them at the river side of bot lane ensures that ganks will become more difficult. Boxes can be left in a trail leading to your tower to help peel for your AD Carry. With practice, boxes can be used to block skill shots. By the end of the game, Shaco has plenty of AP to group with a tank and the mid laner using Zeke's to increase both of their AP and push lanes. Shaco is also an assassin by nature and while roaming will have opportunities to gank or bait enemies into his boxes. This build has its place and while it doesn't fit in every team comp it is viable when played with some knowledge of both Shaco and the support role
