Also, taking null zone at lvl 13 and getting AP per level for ALL runes? What happened to magic pen marks, mana regen seals and CD glyphs (not necessarily those types of runes)?

Definitely dont take 21 in defense and fortify. Ignite or Clarity can help you more than fortify and 21 utility will help with mana problems and such.

nice build but going fortify and getting the maestires i dont think isnt that great your wasting the utillity masteries , going utilly maestiers is probably better - my opinion-

I would get rod of ages in the end but thornmail isnt that bad if the other team is dps
