Spells:
Ignite
Ghost
Ability Order
Void Shift (PASSIVE)
Malzahar Passive Ability
Introduction
Pros
Massive burst damage
Can kill anyone including tanks quite easily
If you're wondering about the tank part, just use Null Zone and "BOOM", 'Tank has been eliminated'
Very Good CC Spells
Extremely Powerful Ultimate that scales off 130% of his current AP and stuns? What more do you need??
He floats :D
Cons
Squishy because of low health
No escape tactic <---- Big one, your position is CRITICAL, always try to be in a place where you can ghost away if you take too much damage
Dismal Mana Early game
Long ult cooldown (But its SOLVED thanks to the build I use :D)

I have a standard castor setup, but i've added health seals instead of mana regen seals to add to the tankyness and also because late game mana regen becomes useless, especially since we buy 2 doran's rings in the beggining. Other than that, its just meant to give you that extra kick early game.
I've got a standard 9/0/21 Mastery Setup that well.......everyone uses for castors. You may notice that I've thrown in the utility mastery. This is mainly because of the fact that mid or late game as Malzahar, you WANT that golem buff, unless of course you have a really whiny jungler :P. Other than that its the standard CDR and Magic Pen.
We start off with a Doran's Ring and you generally want to buy another one when you have around 1000 Gold for that huge boost in mana regen, after all, who the hell needs runes? xD Lol, jokes aside you should get Deathfire Grasp next and get Sorcerer's Shoes AFTER that! No, NOT before, AFTER. Why you ask? Well, you already have enough magic pen to get you through early game happily enough and movement speed isn't such a big deal considering the fact that you're taking ghost. You then want to move on to Will of the ancients to get that big ol' 80 AP boost and the 25% Spell Vamp practically gives you Morgana's passive which doesn't hurt.........you atleast, the enemy team? I'm not entirely sure they'll like it :P. After that is your standard must have on a Burst Mage, The Combo of Rabadon's Death Cap, Zhonya's Hourglass and Void Staff for that flawless combo of AP, Survivability and 40-freaking-% Magic Pen! The enemy team is practically screwed!! :D
I max out my Call of the Void (Q) spell first, followed by Malefic Visions (E) and max out Null Zone (W) last, but don't forget to take that crucial point at level 4. Its gonna cost you if you delay it to level 14. One tank comin your way and you're a goner. As usual, max your Ult whenever you can, it quite literally is the strongest spell you have.
You want to generally lead with Q into E (into W if against tank or desperate for damage) and finally into R. With the CDR I use in this guide, your ult cooldown should become lower than a minute. Imagine, being able to deal 130% of your AP + a flat amount every minute..........oh wait, you don't need to imagine, with this build you can already do that!! :D and that too probably with just deathfire grasp!! Worried about that golem dealing too much damage to you? Chillax! With your W, his health will go down a **** ton! So chilllzz :D
Malzahar is very squishy early in lane. If you're against a physical DPS like Master Yi or Xin Zhao, you DEFINITELY want a lane switch. I wouldn't advise going mid often cuz you'll usually find these guys waiting to kill you. Don't back off ALL Physical DPSes, back off of these : Master Yi, Xin Zhao, Garen, Tryndamere and Renekton. These guys deals TONS of damage with their melee attacks, and thats what early game is mainly all about.
As Malzahar, you DEFINITELY do NOT wanna engage, allow your tank or some other guy to engage, and take out tanks and the rest with Call of the Void and Null Zone. Do NOT use your ult in team fights, it will be interrupted and it'll be a complete waste of mana and cooldown time. Most of all, do NOT kill steal :P people are gonna hate on you and allow you to get double or triple teamed, you do NOT want that :P
EDIT: You want to use your maximum range in team fights as Malzahar so that you don't get bursted down, make sure that you stay as FAR back as you can! Use the good range Malzahar has on his abilities and run away if you see that you're losing the team fight!!
