First off, Beserker Greaves are useless on Malz. With around 100 AP your MV should be able to tear through most enemy minions, not to mention you have a voidling to do the attacking for you. Malz has one of the worst auto attack damage in the game, and a 15% attack speed bonus isn't going to help. Get the Sorcerer's Shoes over Boots of Lucidity also. There are plenty of good items that will give you the cooldown reduction that you need.

Secondly, do not use null zone to take down enemy minions, it simply isn't nearly as good as MV for the damage and your just wasting mana. Wait till after your ult to get this ability because that's when you'll need it. Until then 2/0/3/0 will do fine and allow you to tear through minion waves with a little auto attacking and your voidling.

I have never tried going malz utility tree because it hinders him, making your early game farm more difficult, thus making the bonus xp from the utility tree necessary. The only thing worthwhile in that tree beyond the 7-9 points is the cdr, and you can get that elsewhere early game from Fendish Codex. Oh, and Will of the Ancients should give you plenty of Spellvamp, try going for some armor or health AP items instead. These are a few of my thoughts on your guide.

With Deathfire Grasp, Masteries and Athene's, I already have 40% cooldown reduction, making ionian boots useless. And though I kind of agree with crystal scepter, gunblade is there for more spell vamp and another source of damage, though I do appreciate the feedback!

I see your point on using the atack speed bots but its better instead of pick those pick the cooldown resuction buts.
And instead of doing the gun do in the bigining the cristal scepter.
