hello, and welcome to my guide, keep in mind that this is my first guide so if i mess up or if there's something you don't agree with please don't chew me out for it, but anyways, ever since i started playing league i had a hard time adjusting to characters since i was a noob, but than i saw someone use malzahar (or malzy for short, i'll be calling him that through out the guide) and i said "why not try him out" i bought him and ever since than i've been a happy camper killing people like it's my job.
Malzy is a good character all around, except in escaping mechanisims, we'll get to that later, so please enjoy this guide and again please keep in mind that this is my first guide.

malzy is by far the best farmer i've used in the game, since his e move transfers over to the closest enemy once it finishes off the job, with enough ap his e move by itself can take out minions waves easily and if your lucky it might even transfer to the enemy champ and kill him :D. the best part is though you don't have to stay there!!! once you place malefic visions, you can walk away happily knowing that it will keep transfering over on to the next minion over and over giving you health back with spell vamp you get out of will of the ancients.

i'm not going to go into much detail here since i'm not sure what to talk about but well i go for magic pen marks to quickly burst down enemies, mana regen seals because he chews through mana like nothing, cooldown reduction glyphs are a big one on him since he is highly reliable on spamming his abilities, so far i haven't really used any quints so it's up to you whatever you choose.

i see a lot of malzy players and they usually start off with dorans ring, but go straight to boots, i usually buy a dorans ring for ability power and mana regen since malzy chews through mana like a puppy chews through bones, i choose to build will of the ancients first because it keeps me alive in lane, since the spell vamp on it is incredible and combined with your malefic visions that jumps from minion to minion, you get health back quite well making you a pain in the A** to deal with, i later go from boots for the movement speed and the magic pen, making it a nice combo with your marks of insight.
after those two items i go straight for my rebandon's deathcap, i usually go for whatever item i can buy first whether it may be the blasting wand or the needlesly large rod, i choose to get rebandons right away because your ult is going to suck the life out of them... literally, and with the nice combo of ult + ability power + spell vamp, you get a nice chunk of health back just for using it.
i usually try to go for rod of ages next because you need to be able to stay alive, this gives you mana, health, ap and it has a nice little passive than not only heals you once you level up but it gives you ap per minute and mana also.
i choose void staff next, again because of a nice increment in ap, and a nice little passive that increases your magic pen with the combination off your runes and your previous boots, this is really handy dandy at helping take out those pesky tanks.
this is where the big arguement comes in, i choose morello's evil tome over majai's soulstealer not only because it give me more ap straight of the bat, but also because you need the mana regen AND the cooldown reduction, a malzy without cooldown reduction is not a good malzy since he needs to spam his abilities.
now that we've got that covered let's move on.

personally i like ghost on any character i use, its a all around great spell for escaping or even getting into fights, also ignite is like another malefic visions, except you can use it while your casting your ult and it counts towards your passive :D sincerly i don't go with anything else and sorry i don't have any pics of anything up but again only first guide.
