I do say to build tear first as option, specially in higher elos.
Don't know if the recommended is the same, this is what I use, I havent looked at the recomended in ages, still the difference here is the playstyle and I think it has sufficient explanation.

If you just look at the cheat sheet of course it's just another crank build like almost all others, they are all similar, read the entire guide, you will understand.

yes tear into manamune can be first item, it really depends on enemies, usually sheen first on lower elos, on higher elos tear or catalyst, will have to fine tune the guide later on. The order changes from game to game its hard to explain all variations so I let ppl try it and adjust as they see fit.
