I went with my basic tank runes and it worked fine, I cleared good, and ganked good too, finished with 1-1-11 so my team loved me, thanks for the good guide, the jungle pathing was excellent, I even stole their jungles blue :D

Well, you asked for critic. I am not very experienced with Mao (AT ALL, only free weeks) so I will be focusing on your guide (Hope you don't mind, but you asked for it! :D)

I'm gonna recommend a way of setting your guide up.

Introduction - Short introduction, nothing fancy needed. Maybe add reasons why you find Jungle > Lane Mao.
Who is Maokai? go in-depth about WHO he is (Check out my Anivia guide for inspiration here ^^).
Pros & Cons. You covered this decently ^^ No need for change here.
Summoner spells? Your guide lack this (ONLY SHOW THOSE YOU RECOMMEND, DO NOT WASTE TIME LISTING THOSE YOU DO NOT USE)
Masteries - Pretty obvious reasons, normal for a Mao to go tanky. Not much to change here.
Runes, covered fine. Maybe some optional runes if you do not have those you recommend?
Abilities - You covered this fine, no need for changes.
Skill order, covered too.
Any engage rotations? (Like Q-E-W-R or E-W-R-Q. I hope you get what I mean)
Item build - Short and straight to the point, looks good. (Maybe change the layout a bit)
Jungling. Maybe a video showing your route (Recording program: WeGame, Upload to youtube = Profit. Worked for me in my Taric guide :) )
GANKING - Ganking, Ganking, Ganking! Where to go in? When to gank? Why do you gank? All such, maybe a picture with arrows showing where to come from when ganking. (Important in a jungle guide)
Teamfights? Your role? Do you hide and wait, or engage? Who do you pick? Protect or Pick carries? All such.
Summary and credit to those who helpe you.

Great guide! At first i was really wondering if the alacritiy marks work but in teamfights i just loved them :D
Also my jungling was really fast & because of starting wraiths with this i was at blue at 1:56 and left jungle with lvl 4 so i ganked.
stats were 5|0|22 thank you ! :D
