Introduction

Basically this is a unique build for Kayle centering around magic damage but not using ap. Kayles E ability does a lot of aoe magic damage and her q does a significant amount with a slow, so I made this build focusing on the insane magic damage of her E.

Runes

I choose these runes to be compatible with the type of play and damage type this build needs. All the items for this build focus around basic attacking very fast with magic damage from Kayles E and the items so I went with magic pen marks and attack speed quints (obvious reason) and then armor, magic resistance and health for sustain. You can go ahead and differ from my path because the attack speed quints aren't necessary and you could trade off the defensive runes for more kill power but that will be your personal choice.

Masteries

Same thing with runes, mostly attack speed, magic pen, and some utility because for this build to be most effective, Righteous Fury should be on whenever you're trying to kill something.

Item Choice

This is the big one, the most important part of this build is the items you get, when you get and which order. I start with boots 3 pots, sometimes one mana potion sometimes not, then i go into my first damage item and boots 2. With your choice of boots you have to consider what your lane opponent is doing, if you are easily winning, I'd go with Beserker's Greaves, if your opponent caught onto your plan and is building magic resistance, get Sorcerer's Shoes and if youre getting beat by a heavy magic damage champion or someone with alot of cc (slows stuns taunts snares) get Mercury Treads and of course if you're losing to a physical damage champ, get Ninja Tabi.

And now for your first item, I tend to go with either Ionic Spark or Wits End, these because they give attack speed and magic damage with work well with Righteous Fury, also they have a bit of defense with is always helpful. If you don't have enough money for the Recurve Bow then just get the other part, your second boots and a Vampiric Scepter are good choices. If youre having trouble farming, you can always get Madred's Razors because Bloodrazors is always a good item for this build. Once you have Wits End and/or Ionic spark and your boots 2, I suggest starting to work on a Malady or Madred's Bloodrazors, if you got the early vampiric scpeter you can also get the Executioner's Calling because it has decent life steal, damage over time and a helpful active. Your Final build should be the boots of your choice, wits end, ionic spark, malady, executioners calling, madreds bloodrazors, with exceptions like defensive items or situational.

Other Situational Items;
  • Aeigis of the Legion
  • Banshee's Veil
  • Bilgewater Cutlass
  • Boots of Mobility
  • Cloak and Dagger
  • Gaurdian Angel
  • Guinsoo's Rageblade
  • Haunting Guise
  • Hextech Gunblade
  • Nashor's Tooth
  • Zeal/Phantom Dancer
  • Sheen/Trinity Force
  • Tiamat
  • Wriggle's Lantern
  • Rabadon's Deathcap
  • Warmog's Armor

Skills

This is pretty simple, max out Intervention first, then Righteous Fury, then Reckoning then Divine Blessing. (Intervention being Kayle's ultimate) Righteous Furt (E) is gone be the primary kill power, only using Reckoning (Q) for a little extra damage and a slow and Divine Blessing (W) for sustain and speed. Use of Intervention is 100% situational, to save a team mate, for a tower dive or to initiate a team fight, just think before you use it and try not to waste it because its a game changer.

Summoner Spells

Everybody uses Flash Ignite and some people say its stupid, personally I don't use Ignite too much because it falls off late game but Kayle's a little lacking early and this can help pick up an early kill. Flash is self-explanatory, its an instant get away, especially for Kayle because Flash + W = gone. If you ulted yourself and its about to run out and leave you high and dry, just flash out and use your W on yourself and get out of there.

Farming

I just added this for a few little helpful pointers, Kayle is kind of difficult to farm with early especially against a ranged ap mid, and being that shes mostly melee you might want to spam Righteous Fury for range and last hits but it eats up mana. So id suggest not using it until you know you can get multiple last hits and maybe even beat on your opponent. Most importantly, don't use your Q to last hit, it takes up too much mana and its your only cc so once you use it your opponent may attack and you'll be down that fight.

Thanks For Reading!

I hope you enjoyed reading my guide and i hope you have more fun trying it out. Its a pretty weird build and it doesn't fit into the current meta very well but its fun in normals. And if you're just reading this for the heck of it or just stumbled on it, you should still get Kayle and try this out haha. Thanks again, good luck have fun.
