I disagree strongly. I can generally dominate the early-game battlefield as Mordekaiser, no matter what lane I'm in.
The reason I'm saying this is because I use level runes. I've done some tweaking and will now add AD/lvl runes and AD Quintessence along with Magicpen and HP

My guide isn't out yet but keep an eye for it...
I understand that this is a hybrid guide, but I'm not a fan of getting armor pen quint's. Raw HP or additional magic pen/AP would be a better way to go, especially with Lich Bane.
Edit: +1. Needs a revision nonetheless, IMO.
The game is supposed to be balanced. If a pure tank encounters a pure assassin they will meet on equal terms. The tank will have lots of health and survivability BUT low damage. Assassin has Little health but HIGH damage. So it all comes down to how much gold you get to spend where every stat is of use in the heat of battle.
Warmog. Sure it provides around 1k health and some regen, but again, the regen doesnt provide anything when you are actually fighting. And there are items that counters high-health.
So in conclusion: When you build something do so thoroughly. If he's half survival and half damage he does nothing completely well. And just by dealing the first blow you will have your shield up at the least. Your W will keep the shield up if you get stunned to oblivion, but that's where the "Item Alteration" comes in. So it's a build to start off.
edit: I just noticed my contradiction regarding "flexibility" in the context of "Survivability vs damage". And to clear this up I can only go back to what the build is about; LifeSteal and SpellVamp. And I added Guardian Angel as an Item Alteration.
These are good comments. Keep em coming.
it is a very fun build to play, especially on 3v3
I feel the build lacks survivabilitye in teamfigths and that there are more suitable dps champs than morde
I wont vote because i haven't tried this particular build, and i probably wont
Need a little survivability. Just because you have a lot of spell vamp doesnt mean a thing. What happens if they use then your Spell vamp is no use and you are dead.! so get something.
This is true but only in teamfights. And dying in Team-fight doesn't matter. 1on1 you'll survive long enough for his Ignite to expire. Besides, I have ignite too. And the strategy enforces 1v1 or 1v2 at worst.
anyway good bulid, im personally using similar :D
