Choose Champion Build:

  • LoL Champion: Morgana
  • LoL Champion: Cassiopeia

Introduction

Morgana is a ranged and/or caster champion. Morgana is a powerful champion who has a bit of CC, a bit of protection and is excellent at farming with the use of her tormented soil. She is primarily a support character who can kick some major *** if used properly. I primarily use this build in 3v3 but it has also proven to be quite useful in 5v5 games. So, please read on fellow summoners, try it and let me know what you think.

Morgana's story:
There is a world far away where an ancient conflict still rages. Like so many wars, this war split families. One side called themselves angels, claiming to be beings of perfect order and justice. Those that fought against them believed the angels to be tyrants, creatures incapable of seeing the larger view. Morgana was one who fought against what she perceived as the tyranny of the angels, and for that she was branded ''fallen''. Morgana was not innocent, having taken to the practice of the black arts in an effort to fight against the general of her enemy's army - her sister, Kayle, who had long ago disavowed any filial connection. Then, as the two were locked in what might be their final conflict, they were suddenly summoned to Valoran. Morgana now fights in the League of Legends, but only with the goal of destroying her sister before returning home.

"While some call Morgana 'fallen', she enjoys more clearly defining this status to her enemies."

Masteries and Skill Sequence

I have found that this skill sequence and for the most part this choice of Masteries are fairly standard to most builds for Morgana. I give a lot of props to one build on this site by Flood called Morgana Prime. In that build, he explains a lot about the uses of Morgana and I would strongly suggest checking that as well. However, this item build and rune choice is slightly different than most other builds.

Runes and Items

Again I reference Flood's build for the continued use of the Elixir of Brilliance but, I have a different approach to the rest of the items purchased and runes used. This build's rune choices include two things: magic penetration and ability power per level (runes of Insight and runes of Force). I use these to maximize the magic damage dealt to opponents. Those runes in addition with the ability power from every item (except the shoes), the magic penetration from the sorcerer's shoes and the void staff, and the reduction of nearby enemy magic resistance due to the abyssal scepter's unique passive, you have got yourself a heavy hitting angel.

Its up to you:
-If you are in a strong position early game I would suggest buying a Soul Stealer before your Rod of Ages.
-Or late game if you are doing well and get the mana/cooldown buff I might suggest getting Raboadon's Deathcap after the Void staff or after the Abyssal scepter.

Random bits

Upon Selection: "We'll bring them pain."

Movement/Attacking: "Do not dally!","Feel my pain.", "I'll have my revenge.", "Share my torment.", "They will suffer.", "Without mercy."

Taunt: "You too will be judged."

Joke: "Not all angels are good."

Tips from the League of Legends:
-Shrewd use of Black Shield can determine the outcome of team fights.
-Items that provide survivability allow Morgana to become extremely difficult to kill in conjunction with Black Shield and Soul Shackle.
-Tormented Soil is an excellent farming tool if you're by yourself in a lane.

Strategy from Wiki

-Black Shield is a vital ability to learn as it stops all forms of Crowd Control and also makes your target temporarily immune to spells and damage from summoned pets (e.g. Heimerdinger's H-28G Evolution Turret). Hence, shrewd use of Black Shield can determine the outcome of team fights.
-Items that provide survivability (such as rod of ages and abyssal scepter) allow Morgana to become extremely difficult to kill in conjunction with Soul Siphon, Black Shield and Soul Shackles.
-Use Dark Binding to check for enemies in the brush. The projectile stops moving and makes a distinctive sound when it hits something.
-Tormented Soil used on an enemy champion and then immediately putting a Dark Binding to stun them is an excellent harassing tool in the early game. Low health champions can even be killed outright since Tormented Soil lowers magic resistance and will hit for its maximum damage. However this can be tricky to do.
-If an opposing champion must be killed in a team fight, use Soul Shackles and Dark Binding that champion - it will do a significant amount of damage to them and leave them stunned, if not kill them outright.
-Soul Shackles can be used to detect stealthed units and opponents in the bushes. The icon of Soul Shackles will turn available only if a unit is near you, and you can use it to de-stealth an enemy and see where they are.
-With enough AP, Dark Binding can deal a fair amount of damage as well as snare. The projectile moves fairly slowly, though, so always lead your target at any distance longer than close range.
-When possible, try to use Tormented Soil first so that the enemy's magic resistance is reduced and takes more damage from Morgana¢¯¿½¯¿½s other spells.
-A rank 3, Tormented Soil can initially kill a wave of caster minions, and possibly melee minions depending on Ability Power. As the game progresses, though, minions receive additional health, so either level up the ability or buy more AP.
-Use this to not only farm, but also to push, and heal with Morgana¢¯¿½¯¿½s passive, Soul Siphon.

Cassiopeia

I think everyone can agree that Cassiopeia is not very good. However, she is very fun to play. Seeing as how this is for a game and games are supposed to be fun, you should give her a try. This build for her has worked in quite a few PvP games for me. Let me know what you think.
