Smite

Introduction

Welcome to my first build! Fiddlesticks is my favorite champ and he is one of the best gankers in the biz. This is a jungle fiddle build because of that ability. My sections are going to be pretty brief and this build is intended for people who want a good, quick build.

This build is less of an in depth build on fiddlesticks as a whole and more about the way i play him and how it works for me.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-great at ganking
-great AOE damage from ultimate
-Long Fear
-Lifesteal out the wazoo

Cons:
-Mana dependent/hungry
-Ultimate needs to channel
-looks like a hobo

Runes

For my runes I have ap marks because they are more efficient than penetration ones and they give you decent starting ap, armor seals because you need protection in the jungle, and magic penettration glyphs and quints for late game damage.

Masteries

I have basic masteries that can be used on close to any AP carry, mostly offensive, but defense for survivability as well. Filling out the AP side of offensive runes, and general MR and Armor defensive runes.

Items

Items are the most important part. I start off with an amp tome and a health pot for help at blue. Then get a mejais, and boots before you start ganking at level 6. Once you have enough money you want to rush zhonyas because it will help tremendously with your ultimate. Zhonyas is the best Item on fiddle because it allows you to escape tight situations and stay alive while using your ultimate in teamfights, disallowing the enemy team to interrupt you. I then move of to abyssal scepter which synergizes with fiddle's passive and gives magic resist to increase survivability and match armor. After, I stack AP with rabadoodles and finish with rylais to slow those who are in your ultimate.

Skill Sequence

drain is your main attack. It serves as DPS during the game and can turn the tide of a fight against an enemy. If is crucial in the jungle and has crazy lifesteal.

Fear combined with drain is a way to turn a seemingly 1v1 into a victory. fear leaves enemies incapacitated and you can sometimes be able to kill an enemy during the duration of the fear if you use your ult and drain.

Dark wind is great for laning, but it doesn't have as much use for jungling, and your other abilities are more useful for ganking.

Your ult is what makes fiddle great. with Zhonyas you can dive a turret and kill a wounded enemy without taking any damage, or you can deal massive damage to their entire team. If you can keep your ult focused on many people, stay alive, and channel in a hidden place, you can turn the tide of the game very easily.

Summoner Spells

I use flash and exhaust because there is no actual need for smite on blue in the beginning. Smite helps jungle speed, but exhaust is excellent for ganking, especially duo lane ganking where you can fear one enemy and exhaust the other, trapping both in your ultimate. Other options are ignite, cleanse, and clarity, but cleanse and clarity are more defensive, and ignite is not as good as exhaust in my opinion.

Creeping / Jungling

Starting at blue (a pull is nice but not completely needed if you have smite) you work your way through the jungle in the basic pattern. Blue, wolves, wraiths, golems, red, wolves, wraiths, golems, blue, and then you start to gank at level 6. You recall whenever you run out of mana. and gank often. Mejais is meant to give you a lot of mana, so if you struggle, or have never played fiddle before, it is my suggestion that you start with a dorans ring and build a morellos at the end of the build.

Good Luck

Summary

Fiddlesticks is a great jungler who ganks like a boss. by channeling in a bush or behind a wall, you can catch enemies by surprise, fear them, drain them, then silence them so they cant flash or blink while you drain them again or enemies attack them. Fiddlesticks has both great magic DPS and great burst, making him an Ideal AP carry.
