I must disagree with the spirit fire being maxed first. The end result for Nasus even in the jungle is to be a late game monster. I put my first point in SS, second into SF and third into Wither. Wither and a heavy Q hit is what make Nasus a dangerous jungler, spirit fire not so much. I can’t tell you how many carries I've crippled with wither and hit with a stacked Q and then my carry eats them alive in seconds. Now don't get me wrong SF armor shred is awesome and I love it in conjunction with Wither and a stacked Q but I honestly cannot say that it is more valuable than the Q. Before the rebuff of his Q however I would have agreed with you. I like to inter switch leveling up SF and Wither depending on how the team is doing after unless I can put a point into SS. In the first jungle clear with a bit of patience you can easily have 60 on your Q if you clear the wolves and wraiths again over 80! all under the 5 min mark. With cool down speced in runes and masteries and a blue buff your q is nearly spamable pre level 6. Also SF is not a 100% hit ratio Wither and SS are as long as you are within range of course. Also I personally don’t know many junglers that keep to the jungle only. I sneak out all the time to take the siege minions and farm a lane a bit from MIA's on my team. Thus furthering my Q damage potential. I have tried maxing SF first and find my game potential more often than not lacking mid/late game. The rest of your itemization and thoughts on runes however are spot on. However I prefer utility over the defense tree for jungling on Nasus.

The point of Nasus jungle is not farming Q. The guide itself even mentions why Q isn't maxed.

nice build ,specially that tank one :) I always play with that build with some differences :
1-I take flash instead of ghost (I just prefer flash)
2-I use AP runes so my E can do more damage
3-I often buy a vision stone,to help the support on warding,to ward ennemy jungle, to counter jungle and get extra HP

Nasus's job as a jungler is the be a tank, use ulti in the middle of the ennemy team, become more tanky, slow the carries, use E to make damage on all ennemy team and Q on carries...so I can say that attack speed ,damage and crit items are just useless for nasus because it's not his job to get kills : it's the carries' job ! and carries always succeed if they have a good tank protecting them :) if you want to get kills and be an assassin go mid or bot adc ^^

as i see the guide right now it's pretty good and has a lot of potential if you keep putting effort into it.
it seems like the best jungle nasus juige out there, even when it's only bare bones as it is.
keep doing good work :)

one thing i have to say is that you should put a replay of the plays you are talking about (snoopeh and diamond)
