Introduction
Kayle was the champ I started with, and so I was quite distressed when I read the LOL community's general reaction to her supposed nerfing. After playing with the "new" Kayle for a few days, I feel so strongly that she has been improved that I had to make my first guide for her. I think the items really make this build work. She used to be a support/DPS carry, but now she's more like a pusher/ranged DPS.
Mark: Alacrity
having more speed up front helps do more damage with

Seal: Vigor
This will allow Kayle to stay in the lane longer. Her health regen as it is stinks.
Glyph: Warding
This helps mid/late game survivability.
Quintessence: Swiftness
for me, her movement speed is one of if not her biggest problems, so I figured the biggest rune buff would be best applied here.

I feel that Kayle is too slow and squishy to be a melee character, so it's fortunate she has this. You will be spamming this and using it as a projectile attack. Don't worry about mana, by the time this cools down (at a good speed, BTW), you will get a good amount of that mana back.

once you get this, you can start to look for early kill opportunities, especially under your own turret. The slow on this is really potent now, and if an enemy is targeted by a turret and you pop them with this with good enough timing, death is almost certain.

Although this is mostly useless, you will get one level of this with your second skill point. early on, it can allow you or your lane partner to escape death.

This has remained unchanged from old Kayle and is really useful in saving yourself allies as well as helping allied tanks/initiators absorb damage. There's nothing funnier than watching this absorb an ultimate.

this and a health pot are your first purchase, and it works well with her most used abilities.

helps you stay in lane and builds into a later used item.

once you get this, creep kills and money will start pouring in.

mid game kills and assist should be coming easily with

this provides much needed speed as well as defensive ability.

once you get this, you should be so fast that the 100+ bonus should be coming out quite frequently. The active also works with the relatively useless

you get a nice bump in AP and spell vamp as well as providing it to teammates, which at this point will be useful in team fights.

If you get this far, your
