Another very fun champion to play with and also an underrated one because of her nerf. A lot of people do not get evelyn now just because of her stun nerf.
One of the most important, well... probably the most important and hardest part as eve to get right is to know when you pick a fight and when you don't. You need to have a good overview of what's going on around you, you'll find that as eve you almost constantly take peeks at your map for ganking opportunities.
The 9/-/21 build is an excellent way of providing evelynn's overall stats.
Ability power per lvl
Reduced Death Time
Increased duration of buffs
Extreme Cooldown Reduction
Magic pen. that is perfect for her haste
Mana Reg. that she needs quite a lot in early game
For the Mark Runes: For the Mark rune I guess that magic pen. can add up with her haste that is actually great.
For the Seal Runes: I think that she is a bit squishy in early game and lacks survivability so I provided her with extra health.
For the Glyph Runes: I guess that she can use a little ability power at start so she can deal a bit more dmg.
For the Quintessence Runes: The Magic pen. can add up with the Mark Runes and the ability power can add up with the Glyph Runes.
* If you do not like the way I set my runes feel free to change them the way you want. ;p
GHOST: Actually... I take ghost cuz I'm a movement-speed'O'holic and I don't want people to escape. ;P
FLASH: I usually tend to towerdive so I use flash to escape after killing the enemy. Or you can use this to escape and restealth.
Another great Spell that you can grab for evelynn is, . For example you can use exhaust:
To escape and restealth
To 1vs1 (very usefull against champions like Tryndamere or Jax etc.)
Passive: Determined Killer
Attacks from minions deal 50% damage to Evelynn.
I think that this could be one of the most useless passive in the history of LoL. I don't think that anyone would go into an enemy minion wave without their wave and start to hit them and then you lose half of your health, I mean that's just really stupid. Evelynn can still rock without her passive!
Q: Hate Spike
Instantly damages the closest enemy unit with malevolent energy, dealing 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 (+28% of ability power) magic damage and 50% damage to a secondary nearby target.
Cost 12 / 15 / 18 / 21 / 24mana
A great ability for chasing enemies while they are running and they are chasing you. This ability can combo extremely well with Sheen.
W: Shadow Walk
Evelynn fades away, becoming stealthed for 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 seconds. Evelynn's next attack or damage ability will slow her target by 30/35/40/45/50% for 3 seconds, ending her Shadow Walk. 1.5 sec delay for stealth to take effect (delayed further by damage). Evelynn can cast Shadow Walk while stealthed to destealth.
Cooldown 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds
Cost 60 mana
Stealth is a powerful early-game mechanic: your ganks are impossible to detect without the direct input of gold into wards and Oracle's. Fortunately it has a low mana cost, so it's fine to use it early on.
Deals 80 / 135 / 190 / 255 / 320 (+100% of ability power) damage to target unit. If Ravage was used from behind, it reduces the target's armor and magic resistance by 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 for 5 seconds.
Cost 90 / 105 / 120 / 135 / 150mana
Deals extremely great damage adding on with the 100% ability power. If evelynn did not have this spell she would be excessively useless and no one would ever play her.
R: Malice and Spite
(Passive): Each time Evelynn scores a kill or assist she regains 150/225/300 health.(Active): Evelynn gains 25/50/75% attack speed and 20/25/30% movement speed for 10 seconds (non-stacking, can cast while stealthed). The cooldown refreshes every time an enemy champion dies.
Another great ultimate that has been nerfed by its heal and movement speed. It is also great if you know that if a champion dies you could use it and it will automatically cooldown reduct back to 0 again. ;p
First, I would lvl my Q so I can spam it lots of times at the start.
Second, I would lvl my W so I can either escape if someone is chasing me or try to slow the enemy down to kill him with my ally.
Third, I would lvl my Q again so I can spam even more and deal more dmg.
Fourth, I would lvl my E so I can use it after my shadow walk which does more dmg then spam with my Q.
Fifth, I would lvl my Q like I said on Third reason.
Sixth, Ofc I would lvl up the ulti R .
Seventh, her Q.
Eighth, Instead of me lvling up my E I would lvl my W to have extra stealth time while I gank and scout the map.
* I wanted to finish at lvl 8 to show you what I did there instead of lvling my E I lvled up my W.
Then I would normally lvl up my W until the last lvl's. I just neeaded an extra 10 sec to gank more and scout more on the map.
I usually get DORAN'S RING at the start of the game because she is very squishy and needs health and also she loses mana easily while spamming her Q on minions and enemies. Then I go for TEAR OF THE GODDESS because I spam my Q and you get extra mana with that. It stacks up to +1000 mana. Then go for some BOOTS OF SPEED to move a bit faster . After that I would get a SHEEN to combo with evelynne's abilities especially Hate Spike and deal extra damage with physical attacks. Then I would finish off my BOOTS OF SPEED with BOOTS OF MOBILITY so I can gank and scout the map easier. Then grab a RABADON'S DEATHCAP so it can add another 30% of ability power of what you have to your total ability power. After that, finish off your SHEEN with LICH BANE for more ability power and magic resistance and with more movement speed. I'm sure until now you'll be rockin with those items but there's still more! Then you must finish off your TEAR OF THE GODDESS with ARCHANGEL'S STAFF ASAP!!! Then you can get a VOID STAFF that you'll definitely need for more magic pen. that will be awesome. And for the great finisher you can pick up an ABYSSAL SCEPTER OR a RYLAI'S CRYSTAL SCEPTER, depends on what you like best but if you think that you are really squishy for the opponents then a RYLAI'S is a must and also no one can escape by spamming your Q because it will slow them down all the time and eventually kill them.
And hopefully you will become unstoppable with these items and if you play her well you will see that she does not suck and you will prove to everyone that evelynn is also still great without her stun. Evelynn will no longer be treated as a ****ty *****! xD
Creeping / Jungling
With evelynn it can be one of the easiest ways to pick up minions easily. You see one with half health 2/5 of health full then use your Q and your physical attack to kill it. Q can also combo with SHEEN so when you use your Q you will deal extra dmg after when you make a physical attack to any kind of enemy and that is another way of picking much more easier minions.
For tactics, I will go over of what you should do to start any fight:
1. Spot a dumb squishy enemy on the map
2. Go as near as you can where he can't see you.
3. Use your W (shadow walk) .
4. Hit them with E unless they have BANSHEE'S VEIL then hit them with Q. Then use your E after their block from banshee's has gone.
5. But if they don't have BANSHEE'S then use your E first.
6. After that, spam with your Q.
7. If you see that the enemy is too fast for you and is escaping then use your GHOST to catch up to those bastards and keep spamming for more torture till they die. xD
There's also another great way of picking up kills with Evelynn. You can:
1. Buy wards and put them into the enemy jungle and if you see someone squishy for example, ASHE, CAITLYNE, VAYNE, LEBLANC, while scouting in the map then put on ghost and run as fast as you can to them and I'm sure you will be able to kill them with ease.
Best combo is to W then go and E them and use your R for more attack speed and start spamming Q like always, then a free kill is yours.
Pros / Cons
- Great Mobility.
- Great Ganker due to stealth and massive movement speed.
- Insane carry / anti Carry
- Potential for great map control.
- Great at picking up runners.
- Can keep going with returning to base due to ulti.
- Actually not that item dependent.
- Rather squishy - but you can work that out
- Sight Ward / Oracle's Elixir are your nemesis - counter with own oracle / oracle wearers can still be jumped with ulti + ghost combo - they wont see you coming till it's too late anyway.
- Rather weak early game - you make up for this with ganking early
- You will be focused! - (learn to pick your fights)
I really enjoy playing evelynn because of her great assassinating skills! ;p
We also must play Evelynn really well so we can prove to everyone that she is still viable and not useless now with her nerf.
I'm sure that you will love this guide and play really well to show those noobs what Evelynn can still do.
