Introduction
This is my first guide, never written any type of guide-like thing before. Anyways, the first build is the build that I personally use, the second one is more of a build I'd recommend for new Nidalee players to use, it gives more beef and higher sustain through increased mana regen. Either way, on with the guide.
Why this guide probably looks ugly/doesn't have those shiny pictures you're probably used too: As I said, this is my first guide, I don't know how to put in pictures or any of your fancy shmancy shiny baubles. You'll have to bear with it.
Maybe I'll make this guide better, who knows? Whenever I look at Mobafire, I rarely read the guide and just look at the spells, runes, skill sequence, and masteries.
The skills you get are SITUATIONAL. Always, always, no matter what, the way you prioritize your skills depends on what's happening.
Now, I always grab Javelin Toss first, so I'll assume that since you're looking at this guide you probably did too. You're in lane and poking people with your spear, and suddenly you hit level 2. What do you do?
People are hiding in the brush - They're getting sick of your spear-throwing and hope the fog of war will save them. Grab Bushwhack, if it doesn't bug out it'll reveal fog of war for a second or so, and if they're dumb enough to step on it, it'll let you see them for a VERY long time.
You're getting poked a lot - The lane you're in is pretty aggressive, they're having fun poking at you with their skills and you and your partner are getting low on health. Get Primal Surge, with the nerfs Nidalee is not really able to keep healing herself and her ally constantly in lane, think of it as more of a band-aid until you start to get more AP. However, the 50+AP heal at a mana cost of 60 can atleast keep you and your partner in lane - assuming you don't get harassed too much.
You're doing well, the enemy isn't fighting back, you have complete brush control - Get a second level in spear. Why not? If the enemy team doesn't have a jungler and your only concern at this point is farming/wanting to poke the enemy even MORE. A second level couldn't hurt.

As I mentioned in the Intro, build 1 is what I use, build 2 is a bit more beefier and will give you more mana. If you don't think you can pull off the Mejais - grab a rod of ages. Don't be afraid to grab a mejais, even if you aren't doing well, It's very easy for me personally to grab stacks on it simply because it's so hard to catch Nidalee.
