I recently became a Nidalee fan after watching HotshotGG's pro player pick. I bought her, and it has been one of the best decisions I have made in a while. My current record with her, I do not recall. Every game I have played with Nidalee has a positive ratio. The latest game I played I went 20-1. That is game #10(guesstimate). She is great because she is ranged AND melee.

As with most other champions, skill sequence is highly situational. Normally, if my ally lane has a stun, I will put a point to either my Q or E. The E is helpful because of its DOT. A strategy to use early game is to run through the bushes behind the enemy laners and place a trap, or in Nidalee's case, bushwhack. Then have your ally stun and just attack away. Make sure the trap is in the escape route and you will most likely have an early kill if your ally did any damage. Q is also helpful because of its damage output. The farther away you are, the deadlier it is.
Back to skill sequence. You will most likely want to max either your Q or E first. As I said before, highly situational. Just try mine out. It works pretty well with me, but that is because this is my play style, not yours.

When farming, just go at it with a "get the gold" mentality. Early on, make one or two hits on a minions, and let your ally minions get them down so that you can last hit. That is the best I can describe it. I normally start jungling around level 8-10 because by then my heal is leveled decently, and I have my cougar form. Once you hit level 6, you can farm with ease.

People have asked me things like, "Why do you use Nidalee? She got nerfed." I just say back, "Because she's good"
