The first Build is a Glass Cannon Build
The Second Build is a Tanky DPS Build
TBH this isn't the best of builds, but i must say this is the 'funnest' or most enjoyable to play i reckon. It will work well to an extent that if they have one or more the following:
they way you would use this build is Initiate with R/Q -> E then Q basically straight away ->
Right click to win and W after the fear has ended.
-
- Most of their CC are silences
- They only have 1 stun or less
- They do not have amumu or allistar
- They have 3 or more champs that do not have CC
they way you would use this build is Initiate with R/Q -> E then Q basically straight away ->

This is a build that i would recommend playing. It is probably not the number 1 tanky dps noct build out there, but it will do pretty nicely.
This build Works well Basically with any normal team layout. However Tanky DPS Nocturne can not be the main tank for the team, unlike tanky dps garen. Although this may work if you have another tanky dps on your team.
The skill sequence you would use (if initiating) is to W -> E someone falling behind and then Q and R so that they won't be able to help if they are far away

Hey guys this is my first build on mobafire, but i think you should atleast give it a try. Please vote and any helpful tips would be appreciated.
I will explain my build and why i get the skills/items in the order listed above

Before Nocturne, people believed that dreams were figments of their imaginations, meaningless images that flashed through the mind when one slept. This belief was put to the test when a rash of sleep-related incidents started afflicting summoners of the League. Some would wake up screaming, terrified and beyond consolation. Some could not fall asleep, slowly going mad as the nights ticked by. Some simply never woke up. Physicians were baffled until a Field Architect happened to pass out next to a nexus on The Twisted Treeline. Witnesses said he cried out once and then stopped breathing. Immediately after, magical energy arced out from the nexus, and Nocturne appeared.
Nocturne did not take his introduction to this world kindly. He slaughtered everything he could find before summoners were able to magically confine him. After a period of intense study, League experts divined that Nocturne hunted summoners in their sleep, attacking them in a place where their magic was useless. This seemed to be his only purpose. The families of the victims demanded justice, but League officials were concerned that death might only return Nocturne to the place from which he came. They bound him to a nexus fragment, trapping him in the physical world. As punishment for his crimes, they allowed summoners to call upon Nocturne in League matches, bending his will to the summoners he hates and creating his own personal nightmare. League scholars don't know whether he truly came from the plane of dreams, or whether there are any more like him. Some theorize that the summoning act affected summoners the subconscious minds, luring Nocturne to them in their sleep. Perhaps the most disturbing theory is that Nocturne is a person nightmare come to life. If this is true, they wonder, who is the dreamer?
The darkness is closing in pitch black now but I can still see him.

The darkness is closing in pitch black now but I can still see him.
At the beginning of the game i start off with Boots of Speed because it gives you the little bit of speed which can get you to a bush/brush at the beggining for a good gank, i also bring along 3 Health Potions because it'll help you stay in the lane longer
After you get a few kills you can go back and get Berserker Greaves and The Brutalizer. I normally go back for these items after killing the people in bottom lane and do some damage to their tower.
If you still have money left turn your The Brutalizer into a Youmuss's Ghost Blade
If you dont get much kills get a Dagger before you head out again, if you have the money buy a Zeal and if you have enough money finish off your Phantom Dancer
Once you come back again get a Vampiric scepter, and then a B.F Sword if you have the money
Come back when you have 2250 Gold for your Infinity Edge because it helps you pack a punch with your crits
Finish off your Blood Thirster if you have 2300 Gold and then get another Blood Thirster ASAP and then go push a lane thats got a lot of minions.
Late game(After you finished making all 6 items) Sell your Youmuss's Ghost Blade and get another phantom Dancer, and really late game you could switch your Beserker's Greaves for another Phantom Dancer

Exhaust - I get exhaust because it's really handy in 1v1 and the person is getting away, it helps you catch up and your unspeakable horror will delay them for some time as well, enough to get the kill
Flash - Flash is helpful in general, it helps you get out of tight situations, for eg. lead them up to dragon/baron cave and then flash to the otherside
Another summoner spell i would recommend would be Clarify, it'll help you farm up and stay in your lane longer

Dusk Bringer
(Active): Nocturne throws a shadow blade which deals damage, leaves a Dusk Trail, and causes champions hit to also leave a Dusk Trail. While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and has increased Movement Speed and Attack Damage.
Cooldown: 10 seconds.
Range: 1200.
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.
Physical Damage: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+0.75 per bonus attack damage).
Movement Speed Bonus: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 %.
Attack Damage Bonus: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 .
- I only get a few points on it at first because Unspeakable Horror is more useful, and with a few points on it, it'll help you chase down champions and also you can shoot it straight forward and get extra damage while you're taking down an enemy turrent

(Passive): Nocturne empowers his blades, passively gaining attack speed.
(Active): Nocturne creates a magical barrier for 2 seconds which blocks the next enemy spell. If an ability is blocked by the shield, his passive attack speed is doubled for 5 seconds.
Cost: 50 mana.
Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 seconds.
Passive Attack Speed Bonus: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %.
- Well i only leave it on 1 early game because it can help you block out spells as you run away, and it's not really that useful till late game ganks when you just use it to initiate and get bonus attack speed.

(Active): Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing magic damage over 2 seconds and fearing the target if they do not get out of 600 range of him for the full duration.
Range: 500.
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds.
Total Magic Damage: 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 (+1.0 per ability power).
Fear Duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 second(s).
Legendary Skill, helps you chase early game, helps you rape 1v1 late game. P.s if you initiate with it and then exhaust the champion your chasing, you should have enough time to use it again and be able to kill them

(Active): Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision for 4 seconds, this includes champions, minions, wards and towers. He can then launch himself at a enemy champion with a large range. Deals physical damage on arrival.
Cost: 100 mana.
Range: 2000.
Cooldown: 160 / 130 / 100 seconds.
Physical Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 (+1.2 per bonus attack damage).
Range: 2500 / 3250 / 4000 .
Nocturne's ult, pretty dam useful, use it to help a teammate when they're in a 2v1 battle, use it to chase champions, use it to join ganks from the back you practically can't use this skill wrong
Laning 1v1
Well normally i would intiate with unspeakable horror and follow up with dusk bringer straight after so i get the bonus damage and i can keep up with them, then use shroud of darkness because they will normally try to chuck something at you, then if they're on half hp and you can't kill use exhaust and keep hitting them then start using unspeakable horror again and you should be able to get the kill.
Gank (3v2)or(5v3)
Let your teammate initiate and then fly in with Paranoia and use duskbringer so you and your team mates can clearly see who's running away, then you should try take out their ap carry by using unspeakable horror and then shroud of darkness because well it's an ap champ(duh) and then activate your yoummuss if you still have it to try chase someone down
