This is my first guide on mobafire. When i first bought nocturne (after 1 week when it was released) i thought i regret buying him. i was wrong.

For my masteries i take 21-0-9
Wow noob you take Archaic knowledge...
Archaic knowledge gives extra damage for your unspeakable horror (250 dmg at lvl 5)
i would rather have 15% magic pen then 2 extra dmg
Good hands... wow noob
good hands takes 6 seconds off for a 60 second death timer, which can save games, other hand preservance can only give 4% you may think its a lot but, a lvl 18 annie can barely get 1 hp every second from the mastery with 3 points in it

I take Marks and Quintessences - Armor pen for that needed dmg early game and late game
For my seals i take MP5 seals for nocturne is amazingly mana hungry early game
For my Glyphs i take magic resist, can work on any champ
Attack speed seals and glyphs can work on nocturne

Summoner Spells

Again this is for 3v3
i take ghost over flash and teleport because nocturne has great escaping abilities already and ghost can be used to chase or escape, flash isnt that good at chasing, while teleporting to your tower is around a 5 second walk, not worth it.
i take exhaust because its that needed spell before you get your frozen mallet

The items:: i tend to rush this item for the lifesteal and the effect to farm faster with the extra 500 damage
: you can either have mercury for a heavy cc team, beserkers if your being fed beyond imagination, or even ninja tabi if their team is DPS (lulz for so many tryns)
: My friend said the stats need a buff, i agree, but then again, the active makes up for it, this active will give you that little boost to chase that highlander yi after you feared him
: without this item, i wouldnt even play nocturne, that 40% slow when your fearing assure they never get away (unless its yi) and that extra health so nocturne is no longer squishy
: It gives everything you need: speed, crit chance, and attack speed, nuff said

Your bread and butter,: this will make you look like tryn and be raged upon, doing around 500-1k crits

Skill Sequence

i ALWAYS get myfirst for that needed 20% attack speed and the shield if they even TRY to harass me, people say OMG GETFIRST! Q doesn't really hit that much until lvl 3, and i intiate at lvl 4 which is when i get my fear. Once your level 6, let your tank initiate, they'll focus him,in and you'll just get a triple kill if you wanted.

1-4 Farm Farm Farm - your Vampiric Scepter and your passive makes your opponent waste mana for no reason
5-6 Start telling your teammate (or laning alone, yourself) that your going to intiate, head in with a Duskbringer and fear then while they just run run run, if they flash, ghost, if they exhaust you just back.
7-11 Time to start jungling, i haven't seen a guide that jungles AND lanes, anyway, you'll probably have that wriggles lantern you need to jungle with, if anyone overextends, just tell your teammate and ultimate their faces off
12-18 Stay as a team, go for carry, farm farm farm if the minions are destroying any towers

Want to save mana? just auto attack with your wriggles lantern, it'll clear the wave in around 10 seconds
Want to push this wave quickly?the wave and just plain auto attack with your passive, bye bye wave.
Jungling: if it takes too long, duskbringer for that extra 55 damage.

Team Work

I cant stress this enough, YOU NEED TO LET THE TANK INITIATE, i see nocturnes going in 1v3 using their ultimate knowing they can kill the squishy, its not worth it, let your tank initiate while you rape face and maybe the caster will do some cc while you rape face.
