He slaughtered everything he could find before summoners were able to magically confine him. After a period of intense study, League experts divined that Nocturne hunted summoners in their sleep, attacking them in a place where their magic was useless. This seemed to be his only purpose. The families of the victims demanded justice, but League officials were concerned that death might only return Nocturne to the place from which he came. They bound him to a nexus fragment, trapping him in the physical world. As punishment for his crimes, they allowed summoners to call upon Nocturne in the League matches, bending his will to the summoners he hates and creating his own personal nightmare. League scholars don't know whether he truly came from the plane of dreams, or whether there are any more like him. Some theorize that the summoning act affected summoners' subconscious minds, luring Nocturne to them in their sleep. Beginning

Begin the game with Berserkers Greaves and a Long Sword. Because you are Nocturne you are going for the Windmill in start (top lane). You also choose Ghost as a summoner spell so you can go to the windmill (top lane) very fast. From there on you continue the game as usual.

Runes

The runes will help you out a lot when playing Dominion. The Attack Speed marks makes you able to get your Umbra Blades (passive) faster. Your passive got a 10sec cooldown but for every hit Nocturne makes it reduces with 1sec. The Seals and Glyphs will help you to survive longer at the capture point while defending. Nocturne does a huge amount of damage but he's very squishy. That's why you should have some armor and magic resist.

Masteries

Your masteries will both make your Ghost and Exhaust better. You should have 21/9/0 because you want to deal as much damage as possible. You do want to have 9 in Defense so you can survive longer. You will get Critical Damage, Critical Strike Chance and much more from the masteries and that will help you to kill opponents easier.

Items

You are starting with the Berserkers Greaves so you can both run to lanes fast in the beginning of the game and get some extra Attack Speed. You also want to start with a Long Sword so you can have some extra damage. later you want to buy a Phage and a Vampiric Scepter. You will buy the Phage so you get some extra health and slowing. The Vampiric Scepter is for Life Steal. Nocturnes Umbra Blades doesn't give enough Life Steal so you do want to have a Vampiric Scepter so you can increase your Life Steal in early game. Next thing you want to buy is a Frozen Mallet. The Frozen Mallet will both give you Health, Damage and a passive slowing ability. With the Frozen Mallet you will survive longer, deal some more damage and you will chase after your opponents alot easier. Next thing you'll buy is a Phantom Dancer to increase you Movement Speed, Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance. The movement speed isn't really important but the Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance is. With help from the Attack Speed you can reduce the cooldown on your passive ability Umbra Blades (passive ability). And The Critical Strike Chance will make you deal alot more damage than before and with the help from your Vampiric Scepter you will get higher amount of Life Steal when dealing Critical Strikes. Next thing you want to buy is Youmuu's Ghostblade. The Ghostblade gives you many good effects like Attack Damage, Critical Strike Chance, Cooldown Reduction and Armor Penetration. It also got a very good active ability and here it is: Gain +50% attack speed and +20% movement speed for 4 seconds. Attacking enemies with melee basic attacks increases the duration by 2 seconds to a maximum of 8 seconds. 60 second cooldown. That will really help out alot when you are in combat. The fifth thing you will buy is Starks Fervor. The item will increase your Attack Speed and it also got a very good passive aura. Here's all of the effects your aura gives: Nearby allied champions gain +20 attack speed, +30 health regeneration, and +20% life steal. and it also makes nearby enemy champions suffer −20 armor. This is a very good aura this is strong in fights. For last you want to buy a Infinity Edge. It gives you very much damage and some Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage. With this item build you will be very strong.

Skill Sequence

You want to start by choosing all three of you skills. You should max the Duskbringer first of all skills. There after you want to max your Unspeakable Horror. And for last you want to upgrade your Shroud of Darkness. The Duskbringer will increase you Movement Speed, increase your Attack Damage and it will make it easier for you to make opponents stop capturing your points. You want to max the Unspeakable Horror next because of its fear and damage. The fear will make it easier for you to kill an opponent without losing to much health. It is also much easier for you to chase enemy champions because if they get feared the will just run around in circles and then you got a very good opportunity to kill the enemy. You want to max Shroud of Darkness last because the only thing it does is blocking enemy spells. Don't forget to pick your ultimate skill every time you can.

Summoner Spells

You should have Exhaust and Ghost. The exhaust will help you to kill enemies and to chase them down if they are running away from you and your team. You want to have Ghost so you can run between capture points really fast. These are the best summoner spells for Nocturne while playing Dominion.

Tips and Tricks

Try playing Nocturne very offensive. You shouldn't be afraid of harassing enemy champions and walking in to a fight 1 vs 1. Nocturne is one of the best Damage dealers in the whole game and that's why should never be afraid of attacking enemies. And don't be afraid of running away from enemies because you should have high movement speed and good armor/ magic resist. When playing Dominion with Nocturne you can also try playing "ninja". That means that you should run to the enemies side of the field and capture their points. Because of your movement speed you can run to them fast and also run away from there fast. You might be the fastest champion on your team and that means that one of you important roles is to run to capture points and capture them when there are no enemies nearby. But don't forget your role as a fighter because you are one of the strongest champions in the whole game. Don't forget that you are the team member that must have the Storm Shield!

If this is one of your first times that you are playing Nocturne you should play a little defensive. You shouldn't try playing offensive until you have mastered Nocturne and his gameplay. When you haven't fully mastered him yet you shouldn't try to play "ninja" but instead you can be a good team player and help your team out in fights. If you are far away from your friends when they are in trouble you can always use your Ultimate ability to fly across the whole map. And when you are running away from enemies you must always use your Unspeakable Horror on them. Because if they chase you they will get feared and you can run away safely. Try using these tips when playing Nocturne because they will help you out alot.
