Nocturne Passive Ability
Introduction
For laning i'd go with the Masteries shown above.
For Jungling i go with 9/0/21 grabbing Plentiful Bounty, Awareness and Utility Master.
Note:If your going to Jungle, make sure to switch one of your summoner abilities to Smite depending on which one you want to keep, then allocate your masteries accordingly.

In this section i'll be telling you about the items i recommend and why. Also about situational items.
Recommended
Mercury Treads-The reason i recommend this item is because 99.9% of the time theres gonna be a ap/cc champion on the opposing team. This item will decrease the CCs, thus helping you survive more when they focus you and also helps you in 1v1s against CCers.
Youmuu's Ghostblade-This item is self explanatory. It gives everything Nocturne needs. Plus the active makes it easy to 1v1.
Frozen Mallet-The reason i like this item on Nocturne is because not only does it give you a little extra attack damage and more health to increase your survivability, but its passive will keep your enemies from running away from their nightmare.
Guardian Angel Armor-This will increase your survivability and give you the ability to REVIVE, what could be better?
The Bloodthirster-This will not only give you some lifesteal, but also gives you a nice chunk of AD to make you overkill.
The Black Cleaver-I sometimes switch out an item for this beast, gives you attack speed and attack damage. Plus when you hit someone it decreases their armor.
Infinity Edge-This item is great on Nocturne. If your not dieing much, sell your Guardian Angel Armor or your Banshee's Veil and buy this beast. Gives 70 AD, 20% crit chance and increases crit dmg by 50%. GG.
Situational Items
Offense
Last Whisperer-Get this item if you're having problems with armor stackers.
Madred's Bloodrazor-I hardly EVER get this item because my build usally rips them apart quick enough. So i'd say only get this item if they have alot of high hp and armor champs.
Trinity Force-This is a pretty good item for Nocturne. It gives stats all around and its passive is pretty good to.
Defensive
Randuin's Omen-Get this item if you're having more trouble with AD champions.
Force of Nature-This item is helpful when those ability power champs are wrecking you. It also gives you some hp regen and movement speed.
Banshee's Veil-This item is great when CC is keeping you from getting kills. It gives you Magic Resist, HP and Mana and the ability to block 1 negative spell every 45 seconds.
Hexdrinker-I wasn't sure where to put this item so i'll just put it here. It gives some Attack Damage and Magic resist and a shield that absorbs 300 magic damage when your hit by an Ability Power skill that may kill you.

If your going to jungle with Nocturne. Do 9/0/21 Masteries. The current rune build will work for jungling as well.
Start With:
Cloth armor and x5 Health Pots
1st Trip Back:
Madred's Razors and Boots of Speed
2nd Trip Back:
Wriggle's Lantern and Mercury Treads
3rd Trip Back:
The Brutalizer
Mid-Late Game:
Upgrade The Brutalizer into Youmuu's Ghostblade
Then get The Black Cleaver followed by The Bloodthirster
Jungling Path:
Twin Golems
Wolves / Wraiths
Wraiths / Wolves
Enemy Wolves
Twin Golems
Wolves
Wraiths
Mana Golem
Lizard
Etc.
If you can get a teammate to help you with Blue Buff then by all means do so. If not, head over to twin golems, pop a potion after one HP bar goes down. Smite the first golem after it has less then 500 health, then finish the other one. Head over to the Wolf camp and kill them, pop a potion if you need to. Head down to the wraith camp and smite the big one first. After you finish there, if the enemy team doesn't have a jungler, head over and get their wolves, make sure you're not seen. After that head back to twin golems and repeat. At around lvl 3-4 you should be able to get blue buff alone. So grab it then get lizard buff. Don't forget to help out allies who need help in lanes. So if they go back. Cover the turret till they get back. Maintaining your buffs is nice, but if it comes down to grabbing a buff or saving a turret....save the turret. Buffs respawn, turrets don't.

Nocturne's ultimate is every gankers dream. First off, if your confident you can get the kill, then go for it. Use your ult, they will most likely flee, but its alright, choose your prey. After your about to reach them use your W skill. This way you can avoid any CCs. Right after that use your Q. If it doesn't hit, its fine. As long as they run through it your ok. After that use your E skill. The fear will stall them even longer for you to slash away at their health. If you can't finish them with your auto attacks, then use any of your skills that are off CD.
Have fun ganking!
Have fun ganking!
First off, and i cannot stress this enough, do NOT initiate the team fights. You'll get wrecked, and thats certainly not what we want now is it? Let your tank start it off, thats what there supposed to do. Make sure you go after their squishys first. If their squishy then they most likely hit hard. As long as your tank initiates the fight, they'll most likely focus him/her first. After you've taken care of the squishys, well what else? Take out the tanks! If you come into the team fight late, use your ult to make a suprise entrance. Just remember, SQUISHYS FIRST!
