I really like the idea of taking Leviathan, since as Nocturne you WILL get some stacks together to make this item awesome, but i would only take 1 defence item (I count Hexdrinker as defensive) and rather take some AS since only from Runes and your Shroud of Darnkess I think you don't do enough, and you can't always count on Ghostblade and SoD.

Otherwise a nice build with good ideas on how to play.

oh. and i wouldn't take Shroud of Darnkess that often since i get the feeling lvl 1 SoD is enough and the other skills are more important.

Improved Smite if you don't even take it as summoner spell?
Also you have no AS items.
down vote from me.

I'm no seasoned vet either man haha, just bouncing ideas to try and find the best way to build this guy. I can see why your build would own tho because the items are cheap and you could get them fast, I just hate items with active abilities cuz you have to go all the way down there and click on them.. lol

Since you asked for comments I'll try to offer my opinion, however I usually play 3v3 which is vastly different to 5v5. I personally don't like to jungle immediatley, I find nocturne to be able to hold a lane exceptionally well. He can harass the hell out of an enemy with duskbringer and put them out of xp range, I would always get that first because it's the best for the premature gank and very beneficial for farming minions which provides most of my early game cash flow. I would level up unspeakable horror way earlier than shroud of darkness. You only need one level to dodge a slow or blind. Unspeakable horror is also Nocturnes only way of "slowing" an enemy by fearing them (unless you use exhaust), will keep them around you longer so they have less of a chance to get back to their turret. A starting item to consider that I think is controversial would be doran's ring, instead of blade or shield. Reason being early game Nocturne really is mana starved, more mana regen will let you harass enemies longer and stay in the lane longer. I can see why boots of swiftness would be more apt to get around a bigger map, but I take berserker's just because he can already catch up to champs really well and really really benefits from the AS which your build gives nothing of. An item that I find intriguing to use is executioners blade, because it frees a summoner spell slot you would fill with ignite. It also is a cheap early game lifesteal weapon adding survivability and gives you more crit chance to go with your ultimate item infinity edge. Totally agree with the brutalizer however, awesome cheap item, love the CD reduction because Nocturne needs to use his abilities often. The armor pen on Last whisperer is great, but I think much more useful items could be purchased. I too considered using Hex drinker on Nocturne because it gives great survivability, I would only pick it up however vs. heavy magic users but if you are playing properly these squishies shouldn't be harming you. I would instead go straight to a Frazen mallet. +700 HP and slowing opponents is simply amazing. This would replace leviathan, really, not a great item for nocturne IMO. Instead, for survivability a lot of people say that the bloodthirster is a must. Personally I don't like it as it's expensive, but people who use it seem to always do better. An item that I really feel needs to be purchased before infinity edge is Phantom dancer, more attack speed, more crit chance, added movement speed, everything that Nocturne uses to kill. With Infinity Edge you'll be dealing sooooo much more damage, awesome. As for runes and summoner spells: would go hard with armor pen like you have, I would take flash like you have but not ignite. Cleanse is not that bad actually, teemo's blinding dart is a *****, but I would definitely take exhaust for tough 1v1s because with the mastery point it will also reduce their armour. That's all.. lol

Nocturne needs attack speed, lifesteal, mana - mb Sheen.
I played the way as you - not effective i think.
