This is my first build and i found that it really worked for me when i was in lane and participating in team-fights.

The runes that i have chosen are good for various reasons:

The Greater Mark of Desolation - To just get that uper edge on your opponents when in lane or team-fights
The Greater Seal of Resilience - To give you some extra Armour when in conflict with AD carrys's or tanks
The Greater Glyph of Shielding - To get some Magic resist earlly game to not get Dominated by Ability Power champions
The Quintessence of Desolation - To just get that uper edge on your opponents when in lane or team-fights

the mastery set up is to give you some some defence but to mostly to inhance the attack and damage output

The items that i have recomended are good when laning, there are also some other items that you can get depending on who you are versing are:
1- Zeke's Herald - just incase you want some more attack speed and want to aid you team in battles
2- Guardian Angle - For that extra Magic resistance, and for the fact that you can have a second life when killed
3- Thornmail - For a huge does of armour and to counter those annoying AD carrys and their high DPS
4- Black cleaver - To get some extra damage output and to reduce your opponents armour
5- Phantom Dancer - To get a huge boost of attack speed, movement speed and a nice little bit of Crit Chance

You can choose and summoner spells you wish to use, However i tend to use Flash and Ignite so ican get away, flash over a wall and to pick up the kill

This is my first build so it isn't very good, i hope you take it into consideration when playing Olaf.
