The Legend of Pantheon

Far above the clouds on Mount Gargantuan resides a stalwart tribe of people known as the Stanpar, who still revere combat and war as penulimtate art forms. They remember the Runewars of Runeterra and know that the League of Legends can only repress the rising tides of violence for so long. Each member of the tribe is bred to be a disciplined and vicious warrior, preferring to battle soldiers of either the Noxian or Demacian armies only when outnumbered at least ten to one. Stanpar warriors are trained not only to be as lethal with their bare hands as the most capable martial artists, but also to fiercely wield the many relic-weapons of the tribe. Such treasures have been handed down from generation to generation, and have harnessed the mystical nature of Runeterra in their very cores. These relic-weapons are among the most dangerous in existence -- and it comes as no surprise that they have found their way to the League of Legends in the hands of Pantheon. This stone-faced warrior is a paragon of his people, his very existence an anthem of exultation to the art of combat. Pantheon found it insulting that the people of Valoran would install an organization to replace war, complete with so-called champions, without including the Stanpar. Gathering the blessings of his tribe and armed with the relics of his ancestors, he has decscended on the League to show the world a true warrior. He cares not who he fights, and cares nothing for the pageantry or prestige of a League champion, but lives only for the austere glory of battle. As long as Pantheon breathes, he thirsts for another foe to vanquish.

"I was hoping they had more reinforcements." - Pantheon, standing amidst the pieces of a brutalized Noxian battalion.

Pantheon By Phever

This is my pantheon guide. He is one of my favorite champs and i have been playing him a lot recently and realized that if you want to be the best pantheon player which is getting kills and surviving you need to go a little tanky. So here is my guide on my build to playing him. also i will be putting alternative items down and stuff like that.

Pantheon is a Very Viable Champion Easy to learn and fun to play. Only 3150 and a really good champ. Used to be one of the most Overpowered champs in the game with his combo. Especially Heartseeker strike would drop your Health so fast it was insane. But all in all he is a wonderful champ a great buy and super fun to play :) good luck to your choices i have not tried to influence them at all. Also dont downvote this because you dont play this way please downvote if you think anything in the build is stupid or doesnt fit :).

Runes

For marks i take armor penetration because a Pantheon with armor pen is an enemy nobody will want to go up against. One because your health will drop faster than anything you have ever seen and two because he can take a tanks health down pretty fast.
For seals i get health regen seals. You also could get Health per 5 per level which would be a better choice in the long run. But i get the health regen because pantheon is a squishy champ so after he has used his combo he needs to run back a little ways to not get rocked but if why he does his combo he gets a little damage then his health regens so he can lane longer.
For Glyphs I get Cooldown reduction so that you can harass early game with your spear toss and late game have the ability to spam your three spell combo. This will make enemys have to go back more often due to the health they lose.
For Quints I get more armor penetration just for funzies :D
Back to Top

Items

Well in my build and whenever i play as Pantheon i always rush a Manamune. I rush the manamune because it helps mana regen and gives good attack damage and if you have ever played him you know that Mana Regen IS NECISSARY. Next i go for boots which berserker greives are good for his little attack speed you will need. Next i get a Frozen mallet for slowing and the health and then a thornmail for return damage and great armor :). then i get a blood thirsters and a inf edge for the ending damage. Of course there are other ways you could build pantheon tankyish. I will have a whole other section on other items you can swap out for the items here. Many of the items that i will put as alternate are just optional if you have any other add ins that you think would be better feel free. The ones below are just some i've tried and have worked pretty well. Also you can pretty much pick everything for damage except for a couple things. Such as tiamat is a bad idea. and dont go near a Hextech pantheon doesnt need them. Except i dont honastly know because i haven't tried it at all. So feel free to try him hybrid and tell me because ive wanted to try it :). Although I dont think that this would be very viable because it would only be his W that does damage. but maybe if you stack them like get 2 or 3 you will have about 200ish AD and 160ish AP then you will do damage on everything :))))))))))))). So someone try it haha

Whenever your champion uses an ability, they gain 4 max mana (3 second cooldown). Bonus mana caps at 1000. UNIQUE Passive: 2% of your maximum mana is converted to attack damage.

The reason i get a manamune is because with pantheon you are spamming abilities for you and your team. So getting this helps a lot with early game damage and mana regen.

Frozen Mallet:- Frozen Mallet

Easy damage snoball effect. Gets you great damage and when at 20 stacks your movement speed is incredibly tough to get away from pantheon because of his stun :D
Back to Top

Skill Sequence

1st: You should make out your stun first. One because your stun is what takes down the enemy so you can do your 3 skill combo. Two because its easy to stun lock with it.
2nd: You should next max out your spear throw. This because it is what does the most damage at the end of your combo. It also is a good harass and a good killer when enemies healths are low.
Then max out your Heartseeker Strike. this will do more damage late game when you have a lot of damage.

Also the skill sequence you should use when you fight is:

W: For the stun to keep them in place for the kill

E: This for doing a lot of damage and even better with armor penetration :)

Q: to finish of their health :)

So do it quick in battle W/E/Q will take down a lot of health. It will be even better if you ulti across map and fall on someone and then do this. Plus the help of your team will dominate anyone or even a couple of people.

Skills.

His passive:-Aegis Protection
After attacking or casting spells 4 times, Pantheon will block the next normal attack that deals more than 40 damage to him.
Great ability helps block spells and lets you turret dive a little.

His Q:- Spear Shot
Pantheon hurls his spear at an opponent, dealing 16 / 28 / 40 / 52 / 64 + 100 / 115 / 130 / 145 / 160% of his attack in physical damage.
really good harass and does a lot of damage at the end game.

His W:-egis of Zeonia
Pantheon leaps at the target enemy champion and deals 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+100% of ability power) magic damage and stuns them for 0.7 / 0.9 / 1.1 / 1.3 / 1.5 second(s). Pantheon also instantly refreshes his Aegis Protection.
Great stun and Stun lock :D

His E:-Heartseeker Strike
Passive: Pantheon gains 100% critical strike chance against targets below 15% of their max health.

Active: Pantheon focuses and deals 5 swift strikes in front of him for 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 + 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% of his total attack damage as physical damage per strike. Deals double damage to champions.
The best part of his combo does most of the damage and rocks the healths of your enemies.

His Ult/R:-Grand Skyfall
Pantheon gathers his strength and then leaps high into the air, crashing down at the target area a few seconds later. Deals up to 400 / 700 / 1000 (+100% of ability power) magic damage to units at the center (down to 33% at the edge) and slows them by 35% for 1 second.
Can get across maps really easy and good ganking tool.

Masteries

I go with either two different tree set ups.

#1: 21/0/9: grab the basic offense and then in the 9 i grab for pantheons lack of mana regen and low mana.
#2: 21/9/0: In this you could grab 3 in hardiness 1 in resistence the 4 in Evansion then that last one in nimbleness for that easy evasion and easy armor. Just to help out a little.

Easy to tree builds:

#1 is a more offensive build that takes damage into play. also has mana regen a little bit to help you

#2 is also a more damage effective build but has the evasion and armor.

Summoner Spells

Flash-Teleports your Champion to your mouse cursor. 475 range.
Good For Pantheon because he doesnt have any escape abilities so this helps him a lot. Plus you can flash stun FTW :D.
Cleanse-Removes all stuns, slows, taunts, fears, snares, sleeps, silences, blinds and immobilizers and reduces the duration of subsequent crowd control effects applied by 65% for 3 seconds.
Good on a tanky pantheon because Crowd Control is what murders pantheon he can't do much when hes stunned snared or whatever he is pretty much helpless.

Ranked Play

I would recommend play pantheon if your team needs a melee dps :D. He's good and he has a great damage output for your team. Also if you play pantheon like this when you play ranked. If played like this you can be a ninja high flying assassin from anywhere tank a couple of them kill a squishy and then run away.

He is a great champ for ranked very viable to play if your team needs a tanky dps :) or even if you want to go a damage build. :) Your team will be greatly Appreciative of your damage output against squishys and even tanks if you get armor penetration :)
They might even be excited if we go Tanky Dps because you wont be squishy and you will be able to help in team fights and even with ganks and laning.

Great champion to play in Ranked. So go For it if you feel like being froggy :)

Playing Vs Pantheon.

If you are against someone using a build thats a little tankish build. There is two things you can do to help take his health down faster.
Number 1: If you are playing a Melee champion and want to do damage to him faster and a lot easier. What you can do is stack armor pen. Get items like last whisper and youmuu's and also just get fed fast and try to keep him away from getting fed so he can't get tankier quick. Its better to do that to get to rape his armor so he cant tank your hits because you penetrate it. Or if you dont want armor penetration. You can grab a Black Cleaver. The black cleaver is great for aArmor tanks because it stacks 5 times and lowers their armor down.
Number 2: If you are playing a Caster champion or a Mage. You can get Magic Penetration items. Such as Haunting Guise, Void Staff or Sorc Boots. This might not do much but it will help your spells do more. These are just two easy things i can tell you what to do if you are playing a person with a build like this.

Team Work

If you play tankish pantheon it is a great team advantage. One because he does a lot of damage and he can tank a little bit for his team incase of a team fight and they attack the squishy's. He can help stun the champions so that his team can either get away or damage the **** out of the team. Tanky pantheon is just a great way to play him because 1 v 1 battles are insane. He can output so much damage and the enemy might do some damage but he has a lot of health and you have health regen per 5 per level runes to be able to stay in lane.
In my opinion this is my favorite build to play with pantheon. I used to main pantheon for a while and always did Ad and a Little AS. Which is also a really good build he does a lot of damage and stuff of that nature. But then i started to realize that he died way to fast in 2 v 1's and also just in general because he dies way to fast to crowd control. Hes just an overally squishy champ so this build in my opinion does a lot to help him survive and stay alive a lot longer than he normally does when you just play him Ad/ As a little bit.

When to play this.

He can be played just like olaf or renekton. he can be played an off tank like this build is right here. Dont go all tank with him because then he wont have any damage output and he wont do very well. If you have a tank like singed or like taric who cant really tank the best but are still tanky. Go an off tank build like this to help the team in teamfights and help yourself survive. I would not recommend using this build everytime unless you like to or need it. Because Ad pantheon is actually really good just is really squishy. So just play this build when your team needs an off tank to be more effective. Just have fun with this build he is harder to kill and he outputs damage so he's annoying and hard to avoid. Also he might not be super tanky so dont feel like you are playing Mundo or Alistar and just run in there and try to wreck. because you will probably be wrecked and feed. Then your team will yell at you and the outcome will be terrible :))))). So don't feel like a tanky you are more of a dps with a lot of health and armor.

Then you guys can Up vote em and they will be miraculous :) jk jk jk but the builds are real get ready for them.

I am building a sion build because i started playing him awhile ago when i started. When i started the champion spotlight that was out was the new champion Garen. So thats awhile back now :) But ive just learned that sion is an incredible champ no matter how you play him :)

So look forward to it, it will take me pretty much forever because ill have to explain everything for each build i do :). So hopefully i have it done soon and you all can comment and rate on it :) maybe if its liked enough it can go into the Top spots which would make me super excited :) but nonetheless i love League of Legends and Cant wait for this build to be done for you all :)

I love to share the builds i use with champions. So if you have any criticism against my builds please feel free to tell me in the comments. But all i ask is that you dont troll my builds if there is a dumb reason you down-voted i will be severely angry. Also under no circumstances will i allow the copying of my build so if i find out you have i will talk to the Creator and have him remove you from the site. Because people that copy other peoples builds are ruining Mobafire.
