Introduction

Pantheon is a great champion, despite what others may think. He does great burst, does very well in lane, and is a Spartan! He is the only Spartan in the game, and that was what caught my attention. Pantheon has been my main from lvl 11-29. I have found a new champ that i like, but I still use Pantheon a lot. This is my first guide and be sure to leave comments below on how I did :) I know this guide may be short, but please read through the whole thing and comment on how I did.

Runes

So the runes I use are armor pen marks, dodge seals, flat magic resist glyphs, and armor penetration quintessences. I use this to make Pantheon a bit more durable, so he can take a bit more damage while dealing heavy damage to the other team. The armor pen is self explanatory. If you don't like dodge seals, flat armor seals work too.

Masteries

I go with the usual 21/0/9 mastery page, taking improved exhaust armor pen, AD, etc. on the offensive tree. On the utility tree, i take improved and 1 on mana regen. I dont use the neutral buff duration boost because pantheon doesnt really need it. Sure, he could use blue buff, but most people will need it more than you.

Pros/Cons

Pros: - Great early-game champion
- Great map control because of his ult
- Does devastating damage
Cons: - Sucks late-game if you don't get fed enough
- Pretty darn squishy without atmogs
- Weak in teamfights

Items

First, I start off with a doran's blade. I might get 1-2 more to help my laning phase. I rush mercury's treads right after. Some people build berserker's greaves, but if you think about it, Pantheon doesn't autoattack often. His source of damage is stun, heartseeker, spearshot. I get brutalizer right after, and get IE, bloodthirster, and atmogs. Atmogs works very well on Pantheon, as it makes him beefier and do more damage. But before I build these 3 items, I try to get at least 2 BF swords. Why? Because it greatly increases your damage output throughout the game. Then, feel free to upgrade them to IE and bloodthirster.

Skill Sequence

I start off with spear shot and max it out first. It is a great harassing and last hitting skill. I leave one rank in Aegis of Zeonia and max out heartseeker strike second. I max spear shot first to improve my laning phase and my damage by alot. It is a great poking skill and helps you alot in mid. Ever since the last patch, heartseeker only hits three times, so i max it out second. Pantheon's stun got nerfed to 1 second at all levels, so I max that out last.

Summoner Spells

I take exhaust and flash. Exhaust is great on pantheon, as it allows him to chase down opponents at ease. Flash is a must on EVERYBODY. You can escape through walls, flash offensively, everything. I just love this spell. If you are a ghost fan, feel free to take ghost.

Farming

Okay you will have to try to last hit as much as possible if you don't get too fed early. Your heartseeker gives you 100% crit on enemies at 15% health or below, so last hitting won't be too troublesome for you. I would usually try to go mid with Pantheon, because he is one of the strongest mids in the game. If you're having a hard time last hitting minions, don't be afraid to spear shot those ***es. But try not to spam spear shot too much, because Pantheon's mana sucks.

Team Work

You will have to coordinate with your teammates alot. TELL them where and when you are going to ult. Don't just jump in the middle of their team without telling your teammates and die. Communicate a lot with your team and ping who you are going to focus so they can stun them in the middle of your ult.

Team Fighting

Pantheon isn't as good in big teamfights. Small skirmishes like 1v1 or 2v2, he completely rapes them. In big teamfights, let your tank soak up some damage and CC before going in. If you dont have atmogs yet, they will focus you to oblivion. NEVER go out of position to try and kill their carry in the back. Stay behind your teammates! But if you see the opportunity and their carry is out of position for a split second, stun their ***es and go for the kill.
