Why AP Varus in ranked game ?

Varus is considered by most LoL players as a character that doesn't belong in the current meta because of his early game weakness. With this build and its more than 60% winrate in grandmaster, I will prove you the opposite. Opponents will not expect you to play Varus mid and even less Varus AP in ranked. I often run into opponents who underestimate Varus and end up greed and taking a lot of damage (Varus is a low HP character, which makes him weak but his auto is still devastating, even at level 1 with a tear)

Early game

As said earlier, you are quite vulnerable in early especially against characters with high mobility. You still benefit from consistent damage so try to poke your opponent as much as possible, force his potions (and trigger your first strike as much as possible when you have the opportunity if you play this Rune).

Mid game

You start to have a lot of weight in teamfights. Low HP characters fear you. Be careful though, even with Nashor's tooth, you'll have a hard time one-shotting enemies for now, but you can still remove a large part of their health bar.

Late game

Opponents are starting to call you sniper king. You can now one-shot the opposing squishies or even the opposing tanks if they haven't thought of doing MR against the beast you are.
