It's not a bad build, but personally I think that Poppy doesn't do well without some sort of regen item, the early lifesteal often goes to waste imo. Also, as you pointed out, poppy's passive is amazing when you are low on hp, so it doesn't make sense to stack hp with the warmogs. also, you claim poppy is "very tanky" with this build, but it looks simply like every other basic bruiser build, a maw, hp and atma's impaler.

Yeah, I just don't know how to do it. Use what instead? I can't see it.

Thanks for the comment!

Good guide, but I don't like those big icons in the middle of the text. Use (Put item here Instead, it makes it look better.

Quoted:
Why would you want to offer the crucial offensive tree masteries for 3 points in manaregen?

Offer? I guess you mean why lose 10% crit damage, 2 armor penetration and 6% extra damage when enemy is below 40% health; and exhange that for mana (Not mana regen!)

Those 3 mana points are VERY important, specially mid-game, when you really want to shine. This'll mean 120 mana more, and that's one more combo of your E+Q. Or a free ultimate. Or 2~3 more Q's... etc.

What do I lose?
  • 2 Armor penetration. Yeah, it hurts, but it's just 2, I can manage.
  • 10% Critical damage. For most of the game, I'll have a lame 15% critical chance. Not that noticeable. And in the laning phase, no difference whatsoever.
  • 6% damage on weak targets. I'm an assasin, not a Nuker. Once I track down a target he won't escape me, not with my ult., so I don't really mind if I need one extra hit (and this is ONLY if he gets lucky and survives by that tiny margin this mastery gives me).

To be honest, I also want the mana regen from the support route, but I'd need another 4 points for that. That means giving up on all Armor penetration from masteries and 1% life steal. Not worth it.

Thanks for the comment!

I don't think I can just skip the Maw. Without it, I'll have 79 MR. If the enemy AP carry has MPen boots (which he probably will) I'll go down to 59. His runes probably take it down by another 9 (Only marks with MPen) down to 50. His masteries another 10% to just 45 MR. I want to tank a lot of damage, so 45 MR is not acceptable.(31% reduction)

Please note that as assasin, I'll go right into the enemy team, so I need sustain, as I cannot depend on my ultimate 100% to survive. Remember we want to use it to kill, and as soon as we kill, the ultimate wears off. While my passive is great versus Nukes, its not so much versus mage DPS such as Vlad's, Ahri's, Ryze's, Cassiopea's...

Getting the Maw takes me to 81 MR (44,75% reduction, much more) and also gives me a rather big shield. It also gives me tons of damage.

At this point, I need damage, a lot, so if I don't get the Maw, I guess I'd go for either BT or IE. Both are viable (more IE, in my opinion) but grant me no sustain. This means I'll need some MR item later, and I will fall behind in health. So my last two items would be warmog + angel's, but that makes me do so much less damage, or Frozen mallet + Force of nature, which is viable but again not as damaging.

Thanks for the comment! ;)

Manmaw shouldnt be part of your core. Only build this ifyou ate fighting a lot of mages. Poppys passive and ulti prevent a lot of damage as it is. However the codein and color looks good.
