Introduction

This is a Poppy guide how to be a immortal Killermachine.
I played her many times in 5v5 as well in 3v3.
Her job is it to tank a little bit, to nuke someone down and to support the team.
Play her as engager and ur team will have a easy win, with ur great engages.

Items

Start with boots to be faster than ur enemy. With this movespeed advantage, u'll be able to overrun ur opponents and to stun then more.
Trinity and Hextech are ur core Items.Aim on them before u want to buy anything else.
Ur "-Q-" is stacking on ap and on ad. Thats why hextech is such important. It gives u much ad, much ap and gives u lifeleech. With it u will heal urself extremeley after hitting enemies with ur strike.
Use it to slow the enemy that for he can't escape.
U can choose between magic pen and magic res boots. i rly like magic pen and they are quite effective, to push ur dmgouput of ur maindmg source, coz it makes magic dmg.
After hextech u should buy Youmuus to train ur nuke dmg and to buff urself with a movespeedbuff. Charge to the ap nuke like malza or annie and take them out of the game, with these items its rly easy.
After it buy Randuins, to support ur team with a area of effect slow and to slow ur enemy, when it tries to escape.
With shurelya's u can buff ur team and urself again. i like the combo of randuins, youmuus and shurelyas because of ur enemy won't have any chance to escape and ur team can reach the opponents directly after u engaged.
If u want some more dmg buy a Infinity Edge, but i like the supportive way.

Runes

Ur "-Q-" makes magic dmg and ur charge, too. Thats why i like to have magic pen runes.
WIth 200 more life on lvl 18 u get some more reason to survive the clash.
To get some ap i like it to take 3 ap-18 on my glyphs, coz of its really rentable to have some ap, too with her.
15 ap should be enough for the low lvl, to kill your enemies.

Masteries

U got enough crit so skill crit dmg in every case. Ur Q is ur main dmg output, so take some magic pen in ur skilltree.
With skilled ignite u get some more dmg in the early game.
Strength of spirit is a musthave with nearly every char and to skill those resis is also no bad idea.

Skill Sequence

Skill ur Q and ur W to get much dmg output and to harass ur enemies on the lane.
I personally think that the charge isn't that important because of ur enemies often don't stand near walls so the dmg output isn't that high. Ur W often saves ur life and gives u small ad push, many reasons to skill it early.

Summoner Spells

With flash u can escape and u can chase ur enemies better. Its still a musthave (maybe it changes in Dominion, i don't know)
With ignite u counter enemy Supporter and u can finish them, when they escape with low life.
U can also use exhaust but with these items u got enough buffs and crowd control on ur enemy.

Clash. Spells and item usage.

I like it to engage a teamfight while using ult on my target (ad carry or ap nuke like ashe-annie-malza-gragas-vlad and so on) and use youmuus while charging and use hextech to slow him directly. Activate shurelyas, that for ur team can come into the fight really fast.
With Randuins u can directly slow ur opponents and ur enemies won't have any chance, they will be forced to fight.
Kill ur target maybe with some help of ur teammates and take a next target, the ad carry or the ap carry u didn't atk.
With ur Q u heal yourself very much, so u can tank ur opponents for long.
**** off whos targeted by ur ult, he will run.

Farming

Go often into jungle, ur strike makes much dmg on high-hp-creeps, so help ur teammates on bluebuff, and take the red, if ur ad carry doesn't need it.
!!!!!Buy philosophers stone and averice blade to get enough money(u can update them later)!!!!!

Creeping / Jungling

Farm when ever u can, fight whenever u can.
U got no ae and ur not the best farmer and pusher, but take what u get.
Ur not that depending on farm like a ad carry so give them the farm, if they ask u for it.

Ranked Play

Speak with ur teammates, if u want to engage, explain them, how u wanna interact and who will be ur target. That will be enough to create good engages and pulls.

Summary

Target an enemy, charge, slow everyone, buff ur team, buff yourself, heal yourself, run away if its needed. Ur enemies will hate u. follow this guide to become the perfect. Poppy.

Ur teammates will love u and u will be very effective. To choose the right target is the key.

Pros / Cons

U survive, u make dmg, u support ur team, got much cc and u can engage.
U won't 1 hit enemies but u'll make enough dmg to kill them in 3 secs while supporting ur team by the way, something a full nuke poppy isn't able to and ur enemies won't kill u coz u reg too fast and u run too fast and so on.
