I don't like to write a lot so this will be a messy and possibly short guide.

Ahri is my main and I feel I know how to play it pretty good therefore I will share it with you.

THESE BUILDS ARE SITUATIONAL. If you are new, you can use my "Set" build
I will provide other builds for other scenarios however, you should be able to decide which comes first. My build is similar yet a bit different from other players.
Those of you who dont read the full guide wont benefit from it.

THE item build listed above is the normal typical build to play it safe. Its good but I wouldnt really recommend it.. its safe but I like the risk/reward ratio to be in my favor to get kills.

MAKING YOUR OWN OPTIMAL BUILD.

Start with Boots 3 pots

If your doing decent in lane, and your constantly running out of mana (and your not against hard counter), Grab 2 dorans rings.

Always get Sorc shoes after, you have no choice.


From here on, you have 3 options
1 if your getting ganked like crazy and dieng, rush a Rylais

2 Getting raped by AP? rush abysal sceptar

3 need Damage? Rush Deathcap


After you chose 1 of the three options
(IF you chose 1 or 2, get Deathcap afterwards)

If you chose 3, see what hurts you the most. If its ad, get a Zonyas.

If its ap get a sceptar

if you getting hurt by everything but not getting bursted then get Rylais

If your dieing slowly, then just get Will of the Ancients

Now that I told you what to get from now on, just pick what items to get next from above. All situational. If their getting a LOT of magic resist. Get a void staff instead of Abyssal Sceptar



TIP: If you getting ganked hard, buy wards (1 or 2). Ward the path near their wraiths and the other side of the lane too if your that paranoid.

THESE RUNES ARE ONLY IF YOU WANT THE MAXIMUM DPS. You have to know that the lane matchup is GOOD FOR YOU and you can dominate the lane to use these. With these runes you should never run out of mana any time after lv 6. The reasons i chose these runes is because level 6 is where most of the time the easy kill is at. usually i would flash, ulti, charm q e m ulti ignite. easy kill. If the lane is difficult i play it safe till level 6.

If you are going against a decent counter, Id stick with these runs

A harder counter you would go health per level seals and possibly flat mr glyphs.

IF YOU ARE AGAINST A HARD COUNTER, USE THE HEALTH PER LEVEL SEALS + HARD COUNTER BUILD.

USE ABOVE shown masteries ONly WHEN NOT AGAINST HARD COUNTER. if you are against hard counter use the same offensive but go 3 points in magic resist, 1 armor, and max the 2 boxes underneath magic resist.
It should be 21/9/0

Lich Bane : Dont do it. Doenst work well.

Hextech early: No. Usually you dont need this. Your passive is enough. This item delays damage that may come through

Death Fire Grasp : I dont like this item. I feel this doesnt really fit with ahri. HOWEVER, it may prove to be beneficial in some situations. Like sometimes there is a high priority target, then get it.

Archangel: Just no.

(The book with stacks 20 stacks (2 stacks per kill) that costs like 1.2k gold: By telling me not even remembering the name of this item, you usually NEVER GET IT. just no. Unless your snowballing like crazy but usually people surrender by then anyways.

So when do you choose to get Abyssal Sceptar or Void Staff?

If they have Magic resist lower then 100 then just get it. Void staff for anything above that.

Rule number 1. If you have no ulti, Try not to commit to a fight at all.

Rule number 2. Never dive in straight into a team of 5

Rule number 3. Your charm is OP. With a good team you can close a huge distance and catch off enemy ad or ap carry. (flash, ulti, charm) Reason you flash first is you can have 1 extra aoe hit with your ulti. Your ulti is more valuble then your flash. Your team will usually follow up. Winning you the team fight.

Rule Number 4. Enemy is protecting their ad carry hard. CHances are their enemy ap and ad carry is all the way at the back. And if your fed their bruises tanks will come for you. Usuually you wait for them to chase you, then you flash, ulti, ulti to dash all the way into the back line. Try to charm their ad and burst them down. Your team will cleanup the rest.

Rule number 5. Try not to play like an assassin like LB. your not LB.

People feel Ahri fell off eversince dfg but the reason is because they played her like an assassin. I dont feel this is proper for ahri. You can definitly do it but its not optimal. My build is more DPS ahri.

RULE NUMVER 6: If you and their mid are pretty much tied or you have more kills. IF YOU HAVE YOUR ulti. Choose a lane to gank, top or bot. Usually top lane I go through their own jungle to gank because it would less likely have wards. If bot lane, do a in lane gank. If you dont know what that means search it up. DO NOT WALK THROUGH RIVER. THERE IS ALWAYS POSSIBILITY THEY ARE HIDING IN A BUSH WAITING TO KILL YOU. I LEARNED THE HARD WAY.

Every cs you miss is 1 health potion. Every 10 or so is like 1 kill. Dont miss.

Your goal is 100 cs every 10 minutes.

Use your q to push entire wave if enemy is like LB or kass.

Maokai: comes to gank you and your in the middle of your lane. Use Ulti+flash+ ulti into your own tower. Immediately throw a charm out. THis way maokai will be far back into your tower taking too much dmg, Use all your skills on him and he will die.

Lee Sin: Dont let him kick you back into their AP. Dodge his q.

Alistar: your ulti is too good

When they stop trying to kill you and back off. Often try to land a charm and harass them.

just because their counters doesnt mean you cant beat them though.

If against akali, buy a pink ward. Drop it down right away when he goes invisible but you feel you can kill him if you can see him.

Reasons for my Skill order.

Level 1 Q is too good. Its also your most important skill. Only get level 1 E first when you are invading or getting invaded.

Usually always follow the lv 1 to 3 skill order.

Max W first against close combat champs like Katarina. Or max your q first but keep your range if you can do that.

If against Karthus get zonyas whenever you can.
