Sivir is one of the most underestimated champs in the game. However with the change of Malady in the latest patch, I tested out the new item with a large amount of success and made a build around it. This build is NOT an ap build but it is a build that transitions through the game as Boomerang Blade looses its effectiveness mid to late game. THis is my first guide, so any helpful comments would be appreciated.
NOTE: Since this character is skill dependent, this build will not turn Sivir into god and instantly smite all those that come near her, like garen would (yes, garen is so op to the point he calls a giant sword down from god and half healths you. imba much?). But this build combined with some skill will be able to make Sivir a very viable champ to play.
Teleport and Clarity has the best synergy with this build as it allows to support the BB(Boomerang Blade)'s needed to harass as the build becomes mana dependent with not alot of mp5. Also, Teleport is simply a must for Sivir as it allows her to be able to push multiple lanes at once and be able to down turrets like she is made to do. Any other combo of spells is possible, but for the best blend this is it.
This will be your main source of harrasment as well as kills early game, so you MUST be able to use it effectively. Predict where they will go, throw, score some hits. Simple concept but hard to do without practice.
Not important til rank 2+. Activate when needed to clear minions or in team fights, as it allows you to get a constant stream of damage on their team. Just remember that with sivir's relatively short range, being able to indirectly bounce hits through minions is almost just as good as hitting them directly.
Not only is a good way to piss your opponents off by letting them give you mana, but its a GREAT defensive skill. Pretty much a personal banshee's veil. Use it when there is an incoming projectile that you can throw yourself at, but DONT just use randomly. Use it when you know they are going to try to hit you cause you want to save it with its large cooldown. (NOTE: It also blocks TF's 5th hit passive)
On the Hunt:
Great for helping you, or your teamates to get away, but most of all for you to dish out damage in team fights. Adds a considerable amount of AS for you (as it was buffed the last patch as well) and allows you to get off alot of hits on all off their team if used with ricochet. Also, a good way to down towers quickly. Just dont use this skill for a simple ghost but use it at times where it is necessary.
It is very possible to mid, but either mid or lane is fine. Play with what you are comforable with. Start off with a tome and pots and head off to your lane. The reasoning behind this build is because BB scales awesomely with early levels. Therefore it is best to take advantage of that and go for lots of early game AP to get the most effectiveness out of that skill which leads to more kills. Once you get enough G for Malady B back and TP back to your lane. After that just follow the item guide and buy whatever increments of the items you can whenever you need to b. Pretty much if you have enough money for the entire item, get it. If you happen to B for anyother reason, buy what you can.
Later in the game and as you start to get into some teamfights your use of BB will be the same, however your role will start to change. The longer the game goes on your BB skill will start to become less efective, and as a result you must change your priority as well. Since you are no longer just harassing with BB you need to make sure you watch the other lanes, and if there is an opportunity to TP over and take a tower do it, but dont overextend for it. Just dont be stupid. In teamfights, dont dive in, but get as much damage down with BB as possible and when the **** hits the fan get as much damage as you can with Ricochet and normal attacks. Go for squishys, avoid being one-shotted, the norm.
This item build allows Sivir to change roles as the game progresses, and synchronizes with her skills as the game progresses. As I stated already, as the game goes on your boomerangs will start to be as effective as a frisbee hitting a wall, so as a result you must be able to transition accordingly. If you take a look at the items, you would notice it maintains a good amount of AS as it goes changes from an AP focus to AD. How does this happen? Rageblade. It gives you all three, allowing you to easily build off of it after. Malady allows you to do early damage with both auto attaks and BB. Rageblade gives you more AP and starts to increase your physical damage capability. Then from there the main focus is AD. Thirsters give you the lifesteal you need and more damage, then after that Infinty edge. Then after it is up to you and your preference.
EDIT: With the new change to sivir, Hybrid builds are now the best viable choice to maxing out damage. You can now maintain increasing your Boomerang damage through the entire game. The same concept is applied, the patch just means that Sivir is now even better!
