When close to enemy champion use R to give yourself more powerful spells then cast E to lower enemy magic resist followed by W to stop them in their tracks then use Q to nuke their health.
In most cases this rotation will tear apart enemy champs and cause them to flee with 1/4 - 1/2 health.

Keep Doran's Ring until you can afford Banshee's Veil.
