Hey, thanks for the comment! I think spellbinder's can be really good on Ryze right now since it is basically like a weak ghost with an ap boost. I haven't recommended it in this guide because I think to use it best you have to be split, since you can run most other champs down in the 1v1 and nuke them. The only problem is split-pushing as Ryze is considerably worse after the removal of zhonya's + ult.

Still, it can be great for getting picks by start the active then going for a flash WEQ, however you need to be fed enough to oneshot a squishy for this to be effective. Outside of these uses, I find it rare that I get a good use out of this items active. Hope that helps :)
