Heimerdinger Guide

hello, im rather new to league of legends i started on patch 4.17-ish ive got a lvl 30 on euw and a lvl 22 smurf on na currently. ive played around 40 games on heimerdinger and i've thought of an idea that i would like your opinion on. so it seems top heimerdinger would be godly for a few reasons.
1.his counters rarely play top
2. most of the champions on top is melee tanks which heimer can win against easily poking/peeling/denying farm
3. mid champs tend to roam more while heimer lets be honest is better at pushing than roaming
4.you can use the bushes top
5. leaves only 1 side you can be ganked early game which would allow you set your turrets in such a way to make it a free kill when the enemy does gank
cons i've thought about:
1.a tanky top like nunu can make it easier for the jungler to gank
2. in my opinion its better to have your jungler start bot so you can go ahead and set up your 3 turrets to make it easier to win your lane. which isnt always good for your jungler
3.not as close to dragon
do you think heimer is better top or mid? would really like your opinion on this.
First off, i would like to thank you for reviewing my guide. I have noticed it has taken off lately :))
You are right, heimerdinger top is good for the reasons you stated.
I just play him mid for the shorter lane. and, you are closer to dragon in case your team decides to do it. Place 2/3 turrets around the dragon and see him beg for his life.
Also shutting down their midlaner is way more beneficial than shutting down a tank.
But yeah, top will work. And will frustrate the Sh** out of them.

Hey, i never encountered this problem. When you come in lane get 3 turrets up before the minions arive. Last hit and poke with auto-attacks. Do not spam your W and E, you need your mana in case you get ganked.
Your dorans ring will then be more then enough to keep your mana supply healthy.

I myself don't get any CDR or Mana items. My final build usually consists of Rabadons, Zhonyas, Rylai's, Deathfire Grasp, Sorcerers Shoes, and Void Staff. May not be suitable for everyone as we all have different play styles but it works well for me.
He benefits so much from lowered cooldown, it shouldn't be neglected.
How do you play around getting items like these?
