I think Immortal Shieldbow is better 90% of the time, simply because of the lifesteal and lifeline passive. With Kraken Slayer for a very long time the build has 0% Lifesteal and Spellvamp making 1v1's definitely winnable but you're left at such low HP after and without a way to get back to full that you die very quickly. Rushing Immortal Shieldbow has managed to win me a lot more 1v1's, but also be back at full HP once another enemy or two gets there to stop your push or to try and kill you.

I guess it comes down to a preference in playstle. I often dont splitpush as much with Kayle as I probably should and instead stick with my team to secure teamfights, so the 1v1 potential that Shieldbow gives isn't as useful to me, but I deffinitely see why someone would prefer Shieldbow over Kraken Slayer.
