Ok, first of all, this is neither a good guide nor a good build.

AP Sona is fun to play and it works pretty well if you give it a try.

Support Sona does work very well too and is the usual style to play.

But what you got here is a destroyed support build with a bit of AP without any use.

Your runes are defensive, hell even movement speed quintessences. No AP here in the early game where Sona can shine. Also no Hymn of Valor max for whatever good reason which would as well support and AP at the same time.

Then you rush a kage's lucky pick and pick up one ward. Now you got a little bit of support with almost no AP. Then you rush a completely useless Hextech Revolver. No support here, neither a strong AP gain.

After this some support items ( at which minute should that be I ask you?) and finally even better a Deathfire Grasp for your 150 AP super damage and 0 use to your team. No magic penetration at all, this item will not deal any damage for it's price.

If you want to play her AP bot: You can do that. Support: Of course you can do that as well. But this build, masteries and runes will lead to a less useful half support with insignificant damage output

Don't really get the whole "Your guide isn't long enough" criticisms. It says "short guide to AP/Support Sona. It's gonna be short. Gonna try it now and will give you feedback.

While you didn't make it to be very in depth, I think you should try to expand it. It is a great start and i'm sure would be very helpful if you included more

The guide and build in general is good, However I feel the guide was a bit to short

Maybe you shoulde explain why you pick those summoner spells and runes for example? Give a closer explaination about wards etc.?

I honestly love how short your guide is and think its awesome you were helping a friend out. Gj though really like it. Check out my Taric guide whenever you get a chance.

you need more sections, your guide is too too short, I know you meant to make it small and simple but warding is a major thing for a support to do, adding a warding section would not be a bad idea. You could add a masteries explanation section and tell why you pick up those summoner spells, and you might wanna think about switching Mark of resilience for Mark of insight. I know Sona isn't going to be an offensive damage dealer however with your early game harass the magic pen will come in handy for the poke.
