Hi!

Hey there fellow summoners, this is my first guide(I'm a NOOB, LOL). Anyways, this is a skarner build I have had A LOT of success with, I find that maximizing his AS allows you to maximize use of his abilities, with the added movespeed of phantom dancer and your "W" ability you are guaranteed to get the low hp champs as they run away and you can also escape very easily. Skarner is a very effective jungler as well, although I usually lane with him. If you want to, after you get a zeal, buy a vamp. scepter and the jungle is your stomping ground very easily.

Introduction

Right off the bat buy boots and 3 health pots, maximize your shield first as this gives great movespeed and attackspeed as well as the ability to turret dive with your flash very early. As soon as you have the coin blue pill back for a zeal and upgrade your boots to beserker greaves and buy some more hp pots. I prefer to use pots than spam my abilities to get hp back. I find that keeping my mana above half-way allows me to kill or escape quite easily. With just those 2 items you will have an attackspeed of just over "1" without the boost from your "W" ability, and your movespeed will be about 420 without "W". This makes ganks very easily even without red buff. Your ulti is VERY situational, TBH there is no "right time" to ulti, I find that when pushing a turret with 2 or more teamates it can be used to grab one of the defenders and pull them to your team quite nicely, especially a ranged carry. Also, if they get to close to your turret and the minions are almost gone, you can pull then as well, but without a stun, its kinda weak. More scary than anything. Also, I have pulled people into the spawn as well, that's HILARIOUS. Other than that, use your judgement, focus their carries though, obviously.

Items

After purchasing zeal and beserker greaves, you want to rush phantom dancer, if you are having trouble getting bank, buy a vamp scepter and clear the jungle in between minion waves. After you acquire your phantom dancer, you are a beast. Not quite a god, but a beast nonetheless. I find that if I am getting a lot of champ kills I often just pick up a vamp scepter and go guinsoo's before starks. Once I have those 4 items, Boots, Phantom Dancer, Starks, and Guinsoo's; I am ridiculously powerful, able to solo almost any champ. Your final 2 item slots are sitautional of course, if it's a heavy AP enemy team I reccomend going Wits End and Force of Nature. If they are more AD then go Thornmail and Frozen Mallet. If your team is lacking an off tank, you can fulfill that roll by getting a Frozen Mallet and a Force of Nature.
