This may sound noobish, but what about a philosopher stone for irelia? I like the regeneration on it as well as the gold. It helps in general, but i usually sell it sometime to help me buy a big purchase item. Even though it slows the amount of time it takes to get frozen mallet, I still get it for the sustain. Also, why do you start out by lvling Equilibrium strike. I like getting Bladesurge first. I get the idea for the stun, but usually I stay passive untill i get all three basic abilities. I get the idea for maxing w first, but usually i go for w, then q, then e. (Of course ult whenever possible.) With Frozen mallet, you have a slow every hit, so i would want my main distance covering ability on the lowest cooldown possible. Though the slow or stun on E is pretty great too...

Yea, i mainly do solo queues, so that may be one of the reasons. I guess in premades i might have to use a different build. Also, it might be a good idea to put up some pictures in the wall of text. It can be intimidating to some of the people imo. Might sound like sour grapes coming from me, who has never written a guide, but it's kind of true. Also, what is you thought on Zeke's Herald for irelia? I like the lifesteal and the attack speed on her, it synergizes well with hiten style as well.

yeah the main reason i don't get trinity force ever, is because they usually see you start to build and counter the tf so its basicly not worth it, and if you could just get a different damage item and a defensive item to help your team it works out better then you just trying to carry your team to victory with tf every time, (tf only works if u didn't get shut down early those item choices make you snowball a lot of the time a pull out a victory FOR YOUR TEAM not just you, tf only gives u damage and movement speed, and sometimes tf dosnt go with your team's composition) also if facing garren olaf yorick ect, you must build health as you wont be able to trade so much with these champs you will at least be able to survive the laning faze

Although tf may work for solo que it barely works for the team comps i play with on my team :P

It's a pretty decent guide. I may not like some of the item decisions, I like Trinity Force more on Irelia. Sure everything about Frozen Mallet is great, but the way I play her is crit auto attack and absurd attack speed. That is why i get Trinity Force. Also, I like the lane match up. Really great, but add Yorick and Olaf and Garen. I've been solo top against them, and Yorick is the most OP. Surprised they didn't nerf him. lol but other wise nice job.
